Speed Queen is the best-supported choice here for broad parts-and-labor coverage: select washers and dryers carry seven years of both, including the TR7006WN TR7 washer and DR7004WE DR7 electric dryer. Maytag advertises a longer ten-year term, but it is limited-parts coverage for specified components. Which warranty is “longest” therefore depends on whether you mean the term for named parts or the breadth of covered repair costs.

Its brand warranty information says home washers and dryers have three-, five-, or seven-year warranties that include all parts and in-home labor. The 2025 warranty booklet and current paperwork for the exact product are important because coverage varies across the lineup.
Maytag’s warranty information describes ten-year limited-parts coverage for specified components, including washer motors and baskets and dryer motors and drums. It also lists model-specific terms that add labor coverage. For example, named high-performing top-load washer and dryer pairs receive five years of limited parts and labor, followed by limited-parts coverage for designated components. A separate commercial-grade in-home laundry-pair warranty provides five years of all parts and labor plus ten years of limited-parts coverage for specified models, when used in a single-family home for non-commercial purposes. Those terms are not a blanket promise for every Maytag washer and dryer.

What “best and longest” means in practice
For parts and labor over the full term
The cited Speed Queen models are the stronger documented option: their seven-year term covers both parts and labor. That can matter because a parts warranty does not necessarily pay the labor charge for diagnosing and installing a covered component. “Parts and labor” is not, by itself, proof that every repair, visit, or circumstance is covered; the written warranty defines the actual scope.
For the longest advertised term on named parts
Maytag’s ten-year limited-parts headline lasts longer in years than Speed Queen’s cited seven-year examples, but it applies to specified components rather than constituting ten years of full parts-and-labor coverage. Compare the component list and labor terms for the exact Maytag model before treating the headline as equivalent to a longer comprehensive warranty.
For a brand-wide recommendation
Speed Queen is the best-supported answer in this comparison if your priority is a longer period of stated parts-and-labor coverage. It would be inaccurate to say that every Speed Queen model has seven years, or that Speed Queen has the longest term under every definition. Maytag’s longer limited-parts term is a real distinction, not a like-for-like replacement for seven years of parts and labor.

- Match the exact model number. Confirm the term on the product’s current official page and in its written warranty. Brand-level pages can summarize coverage while individual models have different terms.
- Read what the term covers. Separate parts-only from parts-and-labor coverage, and check which components are named.
- Check country and use conditions. Warranty terms can differ by geography and may depend on how the appliance is used. Maytag’s commercial-grade in-home exception, for example, specifies single-family residential, non-commercial use.
- Review the full warranty paperwork. Registration, proof of purchase, exclusions, service availability, and other conditions should be verified for the exact product. The cited brand summaries do not establish one universal rule for every model.
Warranty length is not a reliability rating
A long warranty tells you about the manufacturer’s stated coverage, not how often an appliance is likely to need repair. Consumer Reports’ 2025 reliability article, dated August 6, 2025, describes brand-level predicted reliability scores based on member repair or breakage rates.
