Excel for the web and mobile apps
Microsoft’s version-identification instructions cover Windows and Mac, but do not establish a specific in-app version-number path for Excel for the web, Android, or iPhone and iPad. Microsoft confirms that mobile apps are available, but its mobile-app information does not explain how to find their installed app-version number. If you need an exact mobile app build, check the relevant app store or contact Microsoft Support; those routes are not guaranteed to show the same version and build fields as About Excel.
If a feature is missing
First record the installed version and build. Microsoft 365 features may arrive at different times depending on platform and update channel. Microsoft says update timing can vary, and more than one update may occur in a month. A version label by itself does not establish that every newest feature is available to you. If an update is appropriate, follow Microsoft’s instructions for updating Microsoft 365 or Office for Windows or Microsoft’s explanation of when Microsoft 365 features arrive.
