For most new EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team players, choose the Starter Pack built around the league you like or expect to use. EA says the choice affects your initial Player Items and Foundations Objective rewards, but you can earn more items by playing. A secondary guide reports four options—England, Spain, Germany, and France—and rates Spain’s objective players most highly; that is the guide’s opinion, not EA’s official ranking.
What does the Ultimate Team Starter Pack choice affect?
When you first enter Football Ultimate Team, the “Choose Your League” screen lets you select one Starter Pack. EA says the selection affects your initial Player Items and the rewards available through Foundations Objectives. Each pack emphasizes players from two leagues, but it may also include items from other leagues.
EA’s advice is to pick a league you enjoy rather than worry about optimizing the choice. Its FC 27 beginner guide explains that you will have further opportunities to earn Player Items while playing. The guide does not say whether you can change the initial selection later. Dot Esports reports that a confirmed choice is locked, so treat the selection as potentially permanent and check the in-game screen before confirming.

Choose England if you want an English-league direction
Pick England if you support its clubs or want the Premier League and Barclays Women’s Super League as the starting point for your squad. Dot Esports specifically highlights Lewis Miley among the reported objective players.

Choose Germany or France if those leagues fit your plans
Germany is the straightforward choice if you intend to build around the Bundesliga and Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga. France fits a squad plan centered on Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Arkema Première Ligue. Choosing a pairing you enjoy is more reliable than chasing a rating that may not match your play style.

Use these questions to make the decision
- Which real-world league do you most enjoy watching or following?
- Which men’s and women’s league pairing would you most like to build around?
- Do any of the four reported objective players appeal to you?
- Would you rather follow Dot Esports’ reported player-value assessment or choose for personal preference?
Is the International Starter Pack the same thing?
No. The initial “Choose Your League” decision is separate from EA’s International Starter Pack, which appears in EA’s FC 26 carryover rewards announcement. EA lists that reward as including a five-match loan Jude Bellingham, England stadium customization, and an untradeable 75+ x2 Players Pack, with delivery dated October 2, 2026 for eligible users. Eligibility requires logging in with the same EA Account and platform family used to earn the rewards.
