There is no clear winner unless both phones are actually available in your preferred configuration below ₹25,000. On specifications, the Infinix Note Edge 5G suits buyers who want a higher-resolution display and a larger rated battery; the Redmi Note 15 5G offers more camera flexibility, including optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording on its main camera, plus Xiaomi’s stated IP65/IP66 protection. Prices and software details vary across listings and sources, so check the exact Indian 5G model before deciding.
First, check the exact model and price
“Redmi Note 15” can refer to different models, including a 4G version. This comparison is specifically about the Redmi Note 15 5G. Check the listing, box, or product details to confirm it is the 5G model, and compare the same RAM and storage configuration when checking prices.
Reported prices do not agree. One comparison article lists the Infinix Note Edge 5G at ₹21,999 and the Redmi Note 15 5G at ₹22,999. Other coverage puts the Redmi’s 8GB/256GB configuration at ₹24,999, while another product listing reports a higher price. These figures may reflect different dates, sellers, configurations, or offers; they do not establish either phone’s current price. Check the seller, total checkout price, and any bank or exchange conditions before treating a model as under ₹25,000. (91mobiles comparison; Android Central review; 91mobiles listing)

Which phone has the better display and battery?
Choose Infinix for stated resolution and capacity
The Infinix has the higher stated resolution: 1.5K versus the Redmi’s FHD+. It also has the larger rated battery, 6,500mAh versus 5,520mAh. Those specifications make it the more appealing option on paper if a sharper panel and more battery capacity are your priorities.
Capacity alone cannot tell you how long a phone will last. Screen settings, network conditions, software, and workload all affect runtime. 91mobiles reports that the Infinix lasted 15 hours from 100% to 20% in its PCMark battery-drain test; that is one review’s result for that phone, not a matched comparison with the Redmi or a prediction of everyday use. Which phone is better for photos and video?
Redmi offers more camera hardware options
The Redmi’s 108MP main camera includes OIS and supports 4K recording, according to Xiaomi India. Comparison coverage also reports an 8MP ultrawide camera, which can frame wider scenes than a standard main camera. The Infinix is reported to have a 50MP main camera and no ultrawide.

This gives the Redmi more flexibility on paper, especially if you want an ultrawide view or OIS on the main camera. Megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos: image processing, lighting, focus, and video stabilization matter too. The available sources do not establish a controlled camera shootout between these exact Indian models.
What do performance and software tell you?
The Redmi uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, while the Infinix is reported with a MediaTek Dimensity 7100. A comparison database reports higher benchmark scores for the Redmi, but that is secondary-source data, not a controlled head-to-head test of the phones. Chip names alone are not enough to promise that one will feel faster in your apps or games. (91mobiles comparison database)
Software details can change with updates and can differ between listings. 91mobiles describes the Infinix as running Android 16-based XOS 16. Xiaomi’s current India page describes the Redmi with HyperOS 3, while Android Central’s review table lists HyperOS 2 and Android 15. Check the software version on the exact retail unit and confirm the update policy with the manufacturer or seller before purchase. (91mobiles Infinix review; Xiaomi India; Android Central)

How much should durability affect the decision?
Xiaomi’s India product page claims IP65/IP66 dust and water resistance for the Redmi Note 15 5G. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent assessment in the sources cited here. A comparison database reports IP65 for the Infinix, but the cited material does not confirm that rating against official Infinix documentation for the Indian model. Verify the rating and its terms for the specific SKU you are buying.
Neither rating means a phone is waterproof. Water resistance has limits, and damage coverage depends on the manufacturer’s terms. Do not treat an IP rating as permission to submerge a device.
Which one should you buy under ₹25,000?
Pick the Infinix Note Edge 5G if
- You value the higher stated 1.5K display resolution.
- You want the larger stated 6,500mAh battery, while understanding that capacity alone does not prove longer runtime.
- Your exact preferred configuration is currently available within budget.
Pick the Redmi Note 15 5G if
- You want OIS and 4K recording on the main camera, or the reported 8MP ultrawide for wider framing.
- You value Xiaomi’s stated IP65/IP66 protection and are comfortable checking the terms for the Indian model.
- You want the Redmi specifically, and have confirmed that the listing is the 5G version and its configuration fits your budget.
In short, Infinix leads on stated display resolution and battery capacity; Redmi leads on camera hardware flexibility and has Xiaomi’s published dust-and-water-resistance claim. Make the final choice only after confirming the live price and exact variant, because the available reported prices do not prove that either phone is currently under ₹25,000.
