In an India price snapshot shown by 91mobiles, the TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G was listed at ₹49,999 via Flipkart and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ 5G at ₹47,920 via Amazon—a ₹2,079 displayed difference, with Motorola lower. Motorola India separately listed the Edge 70 Pro Plus at ₹47,999 against an MRP of ₹84,999. These are changeable listing prices, not guaranteed checkout prices. The better choice depends on the live price for the same variant, your priorities for charging, display and cameras, and whether Motorola’s “Pro” support specifications apply to the “Pro Plus” SKU being sold.

TECNO specifications are from its official POVA 8 Pro product page and specifications page. Motorola’s processor, display, battery, charging, memory and software details come from its India support specifications for moto edge 70 pro. The comparison’s Motorola camera details are secondary-source listings from 91mobiles.
What is the India price difference?
On the 91mobiles comparison page reviewed, the TECNO listing was ₹49,999 via Flipkart and the Motorola listing was ₹47,920 via Amazon. Subtracting the displayed figures, Motorola was ₹2,079 cheaper in that snapshot. Motorola India’s own family page displayed ₹47,999 for the Edge 70 Pro Plus, with MRP shown as ₹84,999. The official-store figure is a separate listing, not the same retailer quote as the Amazon-linked price.
These figures describe India listings visible on the pages reviewed, not a worldwide price comparison or a promise of current stock or price. Before choosing, compare the final checkout price for the same storage/RAM configuration, seller, warranty coverage and delivery location. A promotion or seller change can erase or reverse a small displayed gap.

Which phone charges faster?
On the published figures, Motorola’s support sheet lists 90W wired charging, twice TECNO’s specified 45W. Both sources list 6500mAh batteries. Motorola’s sheet also specifies 5W wired reverse charging. These figures describe charging ratings, not measured time to full; no comparable charging test is established here. Because Motorola’s sheet is titled “moto edge 70 pro,” confirm that the exact Pro Plus version in your market shares those specifications before relying on them.
How do the displays compare?
Both are specified as large AMOLED displays with refresh rates up to 144Hz. TECNO lists a 6.78-inch panel at 2644 × 1208 resolution and 429ppi. Motorola Support lists a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED at 2772 × 1272 and 450ppi for “moto edge 70 pro,” again with the Pro Plus identity caveat. The figures give Motorola a slightly larger, higher-resolution panel on paper, but they do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

TECNO lists brightness at 700 nits normal, 1600 nits HBM and 4500 nits peak. Motorola lists 1800 nits HBM and 5200 nits peak. Brightness labels and measurement methods may differ by manufacturer, so the peak figures alone do not establish a direct real-world visibility advantage.

TECNO: official listed camera setup
TECNO specifies a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide rear camera and a 13MP front camera. Its product page identifies the main sensor as Sony LYTIA 700C. That is manufacturer-listed hardware information, not an independent assessment of image quality.

Motorola: comparison-page camera listings need verification
91mobiles lists a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultrawide/macro, 50MP telephoto with up to 3.5× optical zoom, and a 50MP front camera for the Edge 70 Pro Plus. Motorola’s reviewed support specification sheet does not confirm these camera details, so treat them as secondary-source specifications and verify the exact regional Pro Plus listing before buying. Megapixel counts and lens labels do not establish which phone takes better photos; no head-to-head camera testing is available here.

Processor and gaming claims
TECNO lists a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G chip, a 4nm octa-core processor running up to 2.6GHz and an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. Its product page also advertises a P1 graphics chip and reports “1,010,744 AnTuTu Benchmark Score.” That is TECNO’s figure; the page does not state a year, and it is not an independent head-to-head result. Motorola Support lists the Dimensity 8500 Extreme for “moto edge 70 pro,” but the Pro Plus SKU match must be checked. Chip names alone cannot establish sustained gaming speed or thermal behavior.

TECNO says PUBG MOBILE’s Ultra Extreme 144FPS option is expected through a future major update by October 2026, with timing dependent on the game’s official update. It should not be treated as an unconditional feature available on the phone now.

Storage and physical RAM
TECNO lists 256GB storage with either 8GB or 12GB physical RAM, plus a 512GB option with 12GB physical RAM. Its additional “extended RAM” figures—8GB or 12GB depending on configuration—are not physical memory. Motorola Support lists 256GB UFS 4.1 and 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X for “moto edge 70 pro”; verify that configuration against the specific Pro Plus listing.

Software support
TECNO lists HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Motorola Support says “moto edge 70 pro” receives up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches. “Up to” is Motorola’s stated limit, not a guarantee of a particular update schedule, and applicability to the Pro Plus needs SKU confirmation.
