The Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G has the larger screen and substantially higher listed battery capacity; Motorola’s Edge 60 Pro has a smaller display and a different regional hardware configuration. Which phone has the bigger screen?
Xiaomi lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, while Motorola’s UK support listing gives the Edge 60 Pro a 6.7-inch pOLED display at 2712 × 1220. Xiaomi’s India specifications add a 120 Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision; Motorola lists 120 Hz and claims peak brightness of 4,500 nits. These figures describe manufacturer-listed capabilities, not a like-for-like independent display test. Peak brightness is not a statement of sustained brightness in everyday use.

The REDMI’s larger stated diagonal may suit someone who prioritizes screen area. The Edge’s listed resolution and refresh rate are also high-spec features, but the available claims do not establish which screen looks better in practice. Display quality depends on more than panel type and headline specifications.

How much larger is Xiaomi’s listed battery?
Xiaomi lists 10,000 mAh for the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G, compared with 6,000 mAh in Motorola’s UK Edge 60 Pro specification. Xiaomi also lists 100 W HyperCharge; Motorola’s UK listing specifies 90 W wired charging and 15 W wireless charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified runtime or charging-time results. Capacity alone does not establish how long a phone lasts, and charging capability depends on compatible equipment and conditions.
The listed capacities make Xiaomi the clear choice on paper if battery capacity is the deciding specification. They do not establish the real-world endurance gap. If wireless charging matters, Motorola’s cited UK specification includes it; the Xiaomi source cited here does not establish a comparable wireless-charging specification.
Are the processors and memory directly comparable?
Not on these listings alone. Xiaomi’s India page names the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and offers 8 GB or 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage. Motorola’s UK listing names a Dimensity 8350 with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The data comes from different regional pages, and no controlled performance results are available here. Chipset names by themselves are not enough to declare a speed winner.
For a purchase, confirm the processor and memory/storage combination on the seller’s exact regional SKU page. The cited specifications show more listed storage for Motorola’s UK variant, but that is not proof that every Edge 60 Pro configuration has 512 GB or that every REDMI configuration has the India-listed options.

The cited Motorola UK specification summary does not provide matching camera details, so it cannot support a complete hardware comparison or a camera-quality verdict. Megapixel counts and stabilization are feature descriptions, not evidence of which phone takes better photos or video.
What do the durability ratings mean?
Xiaomi’s global page lists IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with a claimed SGS drop certification. Motorola’s UK listing gives IP68 and IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. Treat these as manufacturer-listed ratings and certifications, not guarantees against every accident. They do not make either phone indestructible; do not deliberately expose a phone to water or drops to test a rating.
Which one costs more, and how should you compare prices?

- Compare the same retailer or seller where possible, and record the price on the same date.
- Check whether each figure is a regular price or a promotion, and verify stock, warranty, and the exact model variant.
Because the detailed Xiaomi specifications cited here are India-specific and the Motorola specifications are UK-specific, these pages do not establish a fair local price comparison. Xiaomi has a global product page, but local availability, warranty, configuration, and network compatibility still need checking.
Which should you choose?
