For US shoppers choosing a current Motorola Edge, start with the Motorola Edge 2026: Motorola lists it at $599.99 and gives it a compact 6.3-inch display, a dedicated telephoto camera, a 5000mAh battery and a commitment to two Android OS upgrades. Choose the Edge 2025 instead if you prefer its larger screen and battery, and consider the Edge 2024 only after checking the exact phone’s price, condition and carrier compatibility.

Which Motorola Edge is the best fit?

  • Choose the Edge 2026 if you want the current US model in this comparison, a smaller screen and a dedicated telephoto camera.
  • Choose the Edge 2025 if a larger 6.7-inch display and higher stated battery capacity matter more to you than the newer model’s compact size.
  • Consider the Edge 2024 only as a verified deal. The cited Motorola page lists specifications but does not establish its current US price or availability.

These are recommendations based on manufacturer-listed specifications, not independent testing. The available information does not establish which phone has the fastest performance, best camera results or longest real-world battery life.

How the Edge 2026, 2025 and 2024 compare

Model Display Rear cameras Battery and charging Processor and memory Software and availability
Motorola Edge 2026 6.3-inch 1.5K AMOLED, up to 120Hz 50MP triple rear array, including a dedicated telephoto camera 5000mAh; up to 60W wired and 15W wireless MediaTek Dimensity 7450; up to 8GB RAM. Confirm storage configuration for the exact SKU at checkout. Motorola lists the US price at $599.99; its stated commitment is two Android OS upgrades.
Motorola Edge 2025 6.7-inch pOLED, 120Hz Four-lens camera system 5200mAh; up to 68W wired and 15W wireless. Motorola says the 68W charger is sold separately. MediaTek Dimensity 7400; up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Check current price and stock. Motorola’s page advertises up to two days of power and attributes a 2025 battery-performance Gold Label to DXOMARK; these are manufacturer-presented claims, not independent testing for this guide.
Motorola Edge 2024 6.6-inch pOLED Not stated on the cited Motorola page 5000mAh; 68W wired and 15W wireless Snapdragon 7s Gen 2; memory and storage not stated on the cited page Motorola lists IP68; current US price and availability are not established.

Specifications are manufacturer-listed; charging figures are maximum supported rates, not guarantees of a particular charging time. Battery capacity alone does not predict endurance, and camera counts or megapixels do not establish image quality.

Why the Edge 2026 is the default pick

Its 6.3-inch display makes it the more compact option in this comparison, and its camera specification explicitly includes a dedicated telephoto lens. That combination is a useful starting point if you want a current Edge without choosing a large-screen phone. Motorola’s listed US price is $599.99, but that is a manufacturer listing observed in 2026, not a guaranteed checkout price.

When the Edge 2025 makes more sense

The Edge 2025 has a 6.7-inch display compared with the 2026 model’s 6.3 inches, plus a 5200mAh battery compared with 5000mAh. It also supports up to 68W wired charging on paper, versus up to 60W for the Edge 2026. Those figures may help narrow a choice, but they do not prove that the 2025 lasts longer or charges faster in every use case.

Motorola’s product page describes a four-lens camera system and presents the battery as earning DXOMARK’s 2025 Gold Label, alongside an “up to two days” claim. Treat those as claims Motorola presents, not as a verified result for every user or an independent comparison here. Check the 2025’s current selling price and stock against the 2026 before deciding it is better value.

Should you buy the Edge 2024?

Only consider it if a retailer has a specific listing that you can verify. Motorola’s cited specifications include a 6.6-inch pOLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, 5000mAh battery, 68W wired charging, 15W wireless charging and IP68. The cited page does not establish current US availability or price, so the model name alone is not enough to judge whether a listing is a good deal.

  • Confirm the exact model and whether it is new, refurbished or used.
  • Check that its network bands and carrier support match your service.
  • Compare the final price with a current model, accounting for condition and any included charger.

What to check before checkout

  1. Confirm the exact model and SKU. Motorola names, configurations, network bands and availability can differ by country; check the phone against your carrier and region.
  2. Compare the actual total price. The Edge 2026’s $599.99 is Motorola’s listed US price observed in 2026, not a promise of the price from every seller. Prices and stock can change.
  3. Check storage and accessories. Verify the exact memory and storage configuration, and whether a suitable wired charger is included. Motorola says the Edge 2025’s 68W charger is sold separately.
  4. Match the phone to your priorities. Consider handling and display size, whether a dedicated telephoto camera matters, charging options and the stated software-upgrade commitment—not just the model year.

Water resistance is not waterproofing

For the Edge 2025 specifically, Motorola’s user guide describes IP68/IP69 protection in the context of laboratory testing, warns that resistance decreases with normal wear, and says the phone is “Not designed to work while submerged underwater.” Do not treat its rating as a promise of waterproofing or assume that another Edge model has the same protection.
