For most buyers, the practical choice is between the 14-inch and 16-inch Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1: pick the 14-inch model for easier carrying, or the 16-inch model for more screen space. Consider the Yoga 9i if a premium OLED display matters more than getting the strongest value for the price. Exact configurations and regional prices vary, so verify the specifications of the model you’re considering.
What makes a Lenovo 2-in-1 different?
Lenovo’s Yoga 2-in-1 laptops use a 360-degree hinge to move between laptop, tablet, tent, and stand modes. That flexibility is useful for switching between typing, touch interaction, presenting, and viewing content without carrying a separate tablet.
The hinge makes these devices adaptable, but it does not make every configuration equally suited to every task. Screen size, display technology, processor, memory, and pen compatibility are the details to compare before choosing.

| Option | Best fit | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Yoga 7i 14-inch | People who prioritize easier carrying and a more compact convertible. | Less screen area for multitasking than the 16-inch model. |
| Yoga 7i 16-inch | People who want more workspace for documents, multitasking, or light creative work. | A larger device is less convenient to carry than the 14-inch option. |
Lenovo identifies both 14-inch and 16-inch Yoga 7i Gen 10 models and positions the line for productivity and light creative work. The company describes the 14-inch option as easier to carry and the 16-inch version as offering more room on screen. The right size depends on whether portability or workspace matters more in your routine. Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 product information

Is the Yoga 7i or Yoga 9i better for you?
Choose a Yoga 7i for a practical size and workload fit
The Yoga 7i is a sensible starting point if you want a convertible for everyday productivity and light creative work. Lenovo describes the Gen 10 line as using Intel Core Ultra processors and integrated Intel Arc graphics. Those broad family details do not identify the exact performance of every configuration: compare the processor, memory, and graphics in the specific SKU before buying.
Choose a Yoga 9i if the display is your priority
The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition is a premium-screen alternative. Tom’s Guide lists a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics, 16GB to 32GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and a weight of 2.9 pounds for the configuration it covered. Those figures describe that reviewed model, not necessarily a newer generation or a configuration sold in your region. Tom’s Guide Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition review

What should you check before buying?
- Exact screen configuration: Compare panel type, resolution, refresh rate, and brightness for the specific model. Do not assume that every Yoga 7i configuration has the same display, or that a Yoga 9i has the reviewed OLED panel.
- Processor, memory, and graphics: Match the exact specifications to your workload rather than relying on a product-family label. Lenovo describes the Yoga 7i Gen 10 for productivity and light creative work, not as a substitute for a machine selected for demanding graphics work.
- Pen compatibility and inclusion: Lenovo’s 2026 user guide for the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes includes a Yoga Pen Gen 2 section. Check that the pen works with your chosen model and whether it is included before buying one separately. Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition user guide
- Region and generation: Product names can cover different configurations, and availability can vary by market. Confirm the generation, screen size, processor, memory, display, and included accessories on the retailer’s listing and Lenovo’s product information.
- Current price: Compare the configuration’s present price with the features you will use. The Yoga 9i review’s price-to-performance criticism applies to the reviewed product and pricing context, not every model or current regional offer.
Which Lenovo 2-in-1 should you buy?
Start with the Yoga 7i if you want a Lenovo convertible for general productivity: choose 14 inches when carrying ease matters most and 16 inches when you value a larger workspace. Move to the Yoga 9i if its premium OLED display is a priority and the current price makes sense for you. In either case, make the decision from the exact configuration—not the family name alone.
