For the lowest listed price or a laptop that folds into tablet mode, choose the Acer Googlebook 14. For a lighter 13.4-inch clamshell, consider the XPS Googlebook; for a larger built-in screen, the Lenovo Googlebook 15. ASUS and HP round out the five-model lineup in Techlicious’s September 29, 2026 comparison, but their prices and specifications here are secondary-source figures rather than verified current manufacturer listings.

Google positions Googlebooks around Gemini features and links with Android phones, including access to phone apps and files. An Android phone is not stated to be a requirement. The choice among models is mainly about form factor, screen, weight, processor family, and price—not a universally superior processor.

Which Googlebook is right for you?

Start with how you plan to use the laptop. The Acer is the only convertible among the five and is the least expensive of the three models with prices on Google’s retrieved Store listing. The XPS is the lightest model in that official listing and has a smaller screen. The Lenovo has the largest display there. ASUS and HP may also suit buyers comparing 14-inch OLED options, but the figures available for them come from Techlicious rather than matching current official specifications.

  • Choose Acer if tablet mode, stylus support, or the lowest listed price matters most.
  • Choose XPS if you want a compact, light clamshell and prefer its Snapdragon processor family.
  • Choose Lenovo if you want a larger OLED display for working on the laptop screen.
  • Consider ASUS or HP only after checking their current manufacturer listings for the exact configuration, price, and battery claim.

How the five Googlebooks compare

Google’s retrieved Store pages provide current listed prices and specifications for Acer, XPS, and Lenovo; those prices were accessed October 7, 2026. Techlicious’s September 29, 2026 comparison supplies the ASUS and HP figures. Prices and secondary-source specifications can change, and the available material does not establish complete regional availability.

What distinguishes each model?

Acer Googlebook 14: convertible flexibility

The Acer combines a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with a convertible design, so the screen can fold into tablet mode. Google lists USI 2.0 stylus support; the available specifications do not establish that a stylus is included. Its listed configuration has 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, and its $899 Google Store price is the lowest among the three models on that listing.

XPS Googlebook: light, smaller-screen clamshell

At 2.2 pounds, the XPS is the lightest of the three models on Google’s retrieved comparison page. Its 13.4-inch IPS LCD is smaller than the OLED displays listed for Acer and Lenovo, and Google specifies a variable 30–120Hz refresh rate. It uses Snapdragon X Elite rather than the Intel Core Ultra 5 listed for Acer and Lenovo. Google’s retrieved listing shows $1,199, while Techlicious previously reported a $999 starting price; treat the dated Google Store figure as the current listing in this comparison, not as a permanent price.

HP Googlebook 14: highest reported battery estimate

Techlicious reports that the HP has a 14-inch OLED touchscreen, Snapdragon X Elite, weighs 2.74 pounds, and has a claimed maximum battery life of 19 hours. That is the highest estimate in its five-model comparison, but it is not an independent test result, and a matching current HP specification and price listing is not established here.

How to interpret the battery estimates

Google’s support information for its 2026 portfolio describes up to 14 hours of video playback and up to 16 hours of web browsing, based on internal tests using pre-release software and hardware. Google’s Store comparison gives model-specific maximum browsing estimates of 13 hours for Lenovo, 18 for XPS, and 16 for Acer. Techlicious reports up to 16 hours for ASUS and 19 hours for HP. These are estimates from different sources and contexts, not a controlled head-to-head test. No independent lab comparison or controlled real-world battery result is established here, so the figures should not be treated as a reliable ranking of everyday endurance.

Google describes Googlebooks as designed for Gemini Intelligence and able to sync with Pixel and other Android phones, including accessing phone apps directly and files from the phone on the laptop. If you already use Android, those links may add practical value; if you do not, the hardware differences remain the clearer basis for choosing.

What to verify before buying

  • Check the live manufacturer or retailer listing for the model, configuration, and price in your country; the retrieved material does not confirm complete regional availability.
  • For ASUS and HP, verify memory, storage, exact processor, and current battery wording against the maker’s listing before comparing them with Google’s Acer, XPS, and Lenovo configurations.
  • Confirm whether any stylus you want is included or sold separately; Acer’s specification establishes USI 2.0 support, not what is in the box.
