Hao’s Special Works (HSW) upgrades are available for 31 vehicles on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC Enhanced version of GTA Online, according to a current roster guide. You apply them at the LS Car Meet. Here is the compatible-car list, plus what eligibility does—and does not—tell you about races and costs.
Cars that can get HSW upgrades
The current GTA BOOM roster lists these 31 vehicles as HSW-compatible. The list includes the Horus, reported as added on September 10, 2026. Rockstar does not publish a consolidated current catalogue in the cited material, so check the in-game HSW shop if a later update changes availability.

Which versions of GTA Online support HSW?
HSW is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC Enhanced. It is not a feature of every GTA Online edition: confirm that you are playing one of those versions before buying a car specifically for its HSW upgrade. Rockstar introduced HSW on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and later brought the feature to PC Enhanced. Rockstar’s update 1.72 notes also explicitly identify the Vapid FMJ MK V as HSW-upgradeable on those platforms.

How to apply an HSW upgrade
- Use a supported version of GTA Online: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC Enhanced.
- Take an eligible personal vehicle to the LS Car Meet.
- At Hao’s Special Works, select the HSW conversion or available HSW modifications for the vehicle.
- Review the current in-game price before confirming. The car itself and its HSW conversion are separate costs; other performance or cosmetic modifications can increase the total.
Does HSW eligibility mean a car is best for racing?
No. Compatibility only means the vehicle can receive HSW upgrades; it is not a ranking of speed or a guarantee that the car will suit a particular race. Compare the total purchase and upgrade cost, vehicle class, handling, and the type of course you plan to drive. Performance advantages can depend on the route and driving conditions.
#1 Best Overall
- STUNNING VISUALS — Enhanced levels of fidelity and performance with new graphics modes featuring up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, HDR options, ray tracing, improved texture quality, and more
- FASTER LOADING — Quicker access to the action as the world of Los Santos and Blaine County load in faster than ever before.
- ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK — Feel every moment through the DualSense controller, from directional damage to weather effects, rough road surfaces to explosions, and more.
- TEMPEST 3D AUDIO — Hear the sounds of the world with pinpoint precision: the throttle of a stolen supercar, the rattle of neighbouring gunfire, the roar of a helicopter overhead, and more.
- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
Also distinguish upgrade compatibility from event eligibility. The Pegassi Weaponized Ignus appears on the compatible roster, but a separate guide notes that it is not accepted in HSW Time Trials. Being upgradeable does not mean a vehicle is allowed in every HSW event.

Rockstar describes Hao’s Special Works as an auto shop inside the LS Car Meet for upgrading select vehicles. Its launch announcement said the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions included upgrades for five new and five existing vehicles, designed for the newer consoles’ hardware. The current roster is broader than that launch group.
