In the United States, a catalog check dated October 9, 2026 lists My Hero Academia on Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu and Rakuten Viki. Hulu’s current listing shows eight seasons and 341 episodes, while Crunchyroll lists Japanese and English audio. Rakuten Viki is listed with a free, ad-supported option. You can also buy digital episodes through Amazon Video or the Apple TV Store, or purchase DVD/Blu-ray releases.
Those are dated US listings, not a permanent guarantee. Streaming rights vary by country, season and episode, so confirm the catalog in your own account before paying. The best service depends on whether you need the broadest season run, a particular dub, an ad-supported option, or a permanent purchase.

Where can you watch My Hero Academia in the US?
The US availability index checked 376 streaming services at 12:26:29 a.m. on October 9, 2026. It listed these streaming destinations:
| Service or route | What the dated US listing establishes | Best fit | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crunchyroll | The series is listed, with Japanese and English audio shown among the language options. | Viewers choosing between original Japanese and an English dub. | That every episode has every listed track, or that the same catalog exists in every country. |
| Hulu | The current series page reports 8 seasons and 341 episodes. | People who want a broad, single-service season run in the US. | That the count will remain unchanged, or that every season is available in every territory. |
| Netflix | The index lists Netflix, including a Standard with Ads listing. | People who already use Netflix and find the show in their local catalog. | A complete eight-season run or identical audio options. |
| Rakuten Viki | The index lists a subscription option and a free-with-ads option. | Viewers prioritizing an ad-supported way to watch. | That the free option, seasons or subtitles are available for every account region. |
| Digital purchase | Amazon Video and the Apple TV Store are listed for purchases. | Viewers who prefer transactional access instead of a recurring subscription. | Which seasons, episodes, languages or editions are included without checking the store listing. |
| DVD/Blu-ray | Retail listings include Amazon DVD/Blu-ray options. | Collectors and viewers who want offline playback. | Current stock, region coding, edition contents or complete-series coverage. |
The index is a snapshot. A service can carry one season but not another, remove a title during a licensing change, or show different episodes after you sign in. Treat the table as a starting point and use the service’s own season selector before subscribing.
#1 Best Overall
Which service is the best starting point?
Choose Hulu for the widest US season listing
Hulu’s US series listing reports eight seasons and 341 episodes. That makes it the clearest first check for someone trying to follow the main series from the beginning through the listed run. The number is a catalog count, not a permanent statistic; open Hulu’s episode and season menus to confirm that the seasons you need are playable on your account.
Hulu is a practical choice when convenience matters more than a specific audio-language feature. The listing alone does not verify the availability of every Japanese or English track, nor does it prove that the service carries the theatrical films. Check each title separately if you want films as well as episodes.
Choose Crunchyroll when language options matter
Crunchyroll’s US series page presents Japanese and English audio among its language choices, along with additional language options. That makes it the strongest first comparison for viewers deciding between the original Japanese performance and an English dub.

Choose Rakuten Viki when you want an ad-supported route
The US availability index lists Rakuten Viki as free with ads as well as offering a subscription option. This can suit viewers who would rather watch with commercial breaks than begin another paid subscription.
Free viewing is particularly sensitive to account region and licensing. Sign in, search for the title, and verify that the season and episode you want are available without a subscription. The index does not establish the exact ad load, subtitle coverage or season count.
Use Netflix if it is already part of your household’s subscriptions
Netflix appears in the US index, including a Standard with Ads listing. If you already subscribe, searching there may be worthwhile before adding another service. The available evidence does not show that Netflix has all eight seasons, so do not assume that its listing is a complete run. Check the season selector and episode count in your profile.

How to check whether a service has the season you need
- Set your territory. Confirm that the account and app store are set to the country where you will watch. Do not use a US result as proof of availability elsewhere.
- Open the title’s season selector. Look for every season number, not just a “play” button on the series landing page. Record the highest season and the first and last episode shown.
- Check the exact episode. Rights can differ for specials or late-season episodes. Open an episode near the point you intend to watch and confirm that it starts normally.
- Open audio and subtitle settings. Select Japanese or English audio as appropriate, then verify subtitle languages. Save a short playback test before committing to a long subscription.
- Search for films separately. A series listing does not automatically include theatrical films. Search each film title in the same app and inspect whether it is included, rented, purchased or unavailable.
- Check the commercial model. Determine whether the title is included in your subscription, free with ads, or sold episode-by-episode. A search result can show a service while the playable option still requires a higher tier.
- Recheck immediately before paying. Catalogs change, and the dated index cannot guarantee what will be available when you subscribe.
Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix or Rakuten Viki: a practical decision guide
| Your priority | First service to check | Reason | Verification step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Follow the broadest listed US season run | Hulu | Its page reports eight seasons and 341 episodes. | Confirm all eight season tabs and the episode count after signing in. |
| Japanese audio or English dub | Crunchyroll | Its series page lists both Japanese and English audio. | Test audio and subtitles on the specific episode you will watch. |
| Watch with ads instead of adding a subscription | Rakuten Viki | The US index lists a free-with-ads option. | Check that the free tier includes your intended season and episode. |
| Use an existing household subscription | Netflix or another service you already pay for | A listing may let you avoid a second monthly bill. | Verify season completeness; do not infer it from the title appearing in search. |
| Own episodes for repeated access | Amazon Video or Apple TV Store | The index lists digital purchase routes. | Confirm season, episode, language, HD/UHD format and playback-device support. |
| Watch without internet access | DVD/Blu-ray | Retail listings provide a physical option. | Check region coding, disc count, subtitles, dub, season number and stock. |
Does any US service have every season?
Hulu is the only service in the supplied US evidence with a concrete full-run figure: eight seasons and 341 episodes on its current listing. That makes it the best candidate to investigate first, but it is not proof that every episode is playable for every subscriber. The index does not provide a dependable season-by-season matrix for Crunchyroll, Netflix or Rakuten Viki.
Rank #3
- Memories (Episodes 1–4)
- Textless Opening and Ending Songs
Crunchyroll may still be preferable if your priority is language selection or its interface. Netflix may be sufficient for a partial run if it is already included in your household plan. Rakuten Viki may be the lowest-cost route when its free option covers the season you want. Compare the live in-app catalogs rather than choosing solely from a general service list.
Are the My Hero Academia films included?
Do not treat “the series” and “all films” as the same catalog item. The official Japanese program page lists seasons 1–8 as the final season and enumerates some films separately. The US index confirms that streaming and purchase listings exist, but it does not establish that all four theatrical films are available on each US service.
To find a film, search its title directly on each service. Check whether the result is included with your plan, requires a rental or purchase, or is unavailable in your territory. If you are building a complete watch order, keep a separate checklist for television seasons, specials and films; a service’s “season 8” label does not imply film access.

US availability cannot be carried over to another country. Licensing contracts are territorial, and catalogs can differ even between neighboring countries. For Japan, the official on-air page lists the program as “SEASON1-8(FINAL SEASON)” and shows services including Hulu Japan, ABEMA Premium, Amazon Prime Video Japan, Disney+ Japan and Netflix Japan, among others. Those listings apply to Japan only.

In another region, search the local version of each service and verify the exact season. If a platform shows a title but no playable episode, the rights may be limited to a different territory or a different edition. Avoid relying on an overseas friend’s catalog, a search-engine snippet or an old availability article.

Subscription streaming
A subscription is simplest when you plan to watch many episodes during the billing period. Compare the actual season run, language tracks and simultaneous-device rules shown for your account. The evidence here does not include current subscription prices, so check the service’s checkout page rather than relying on a third-party price list.
Free or ad-supported streaming
Rakuten Viki’s US listing includes a free-with-ads route. It can reduce upfront cost, but free catalogs are often more restricted by territory and title rights. Confirm that the complete season you want is in the free tier before starting.

Amazon Video and the Apple TV Store are listed as purchase destinations. Buying can make sense if you want access without maintaining a subscription, but ownership is tied to the store account and platform terms. Inspect the product page for season coverage, episode count, audio, subtitles, resolution and supported devices.
Best Value
DVD and Blu-ray
Physical releases are useful for collectors, travel or locations with unreliable broadband. The US index shows DVD/Blu-ray retail listings, including Amazon DVD/Blu-ray, but does not verify stock, a particular season set, region coding or included languages. Confirm those details before ordering, especially if your player is locked to a different region.
Troubleshooting common availability problems
The title appears, but playback is blocked
Check your account country, subscription tier and parental controls. Sign out and back in after a territory change, then open the episode from the season menu rather than a saved bookmark. If the service still blocks playback, its search index may include a title that is not licensed for your location.
The season list stops before the final season
Compare another service, beginning with Hulu’s reported eight-season listing and Crunchyroll’s series page. Do not assume that switching plans will add missing seasons unless the service explicitly says so. A digital store or disc set may be the only route for a missing season in your region.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The English dub or Japanese track is missing
Open the player’s audio menu on the episode itself. Track availability can vary by season and country. If the desired language is absent, check Crunchyroll first because its page specifically lists Japanese and English audio, then verify the actual episode before subscribing.
A film is missing even though the series is available
Search the film title separately. Film licensing is often handled as a distinct catalog entry, and the available evidence does not prove that any one US service carries every film.
Recommended path for most US viewers
- Check Hulu first if your goal is the broadest reported season run; verify the eight season tabs and 341-episode listing in your account.
- Check Crunchyroll next if Japanese audio, an English dub or subtitle choice is decisive; test an episode’s language menu.
- Use Rakuten Viki when its free-with-ads listing covers your season and you accept commercial breaks.
- Check Netflix if you already subscribe, but confirm how many seasons are actually playable.
- Choose Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store or a verified DVD/Blu-ray set when you prefer a purchase over recurring streaming access.
- Search films independently on whichever route you choose.
This sequence avoids paying for a service before confirming the season, language and format you actually need. Because the underlying listings are territory- and date-specific, repeat the check whenever you start a new season or change countries.
