Where to play Klondike Solitaire free in your browser
The options below are based on what each publisher says its site offers. Those claims can change, and they have not been independently tested for availability, device compatibility, advertising, privacy, or performance.
| Site | What the publisher says it offers | Useful distinction |
|---|---|---|
| KlondikeSolitaire.com | Free browser play, no sign-up or download, and no ads; the site says it supports mobile, tablet, and desktop. | Offers Turn 1 and Turn 3 modes. |
| Solitaire.online | Free browser play without downloads or registration; the site says it has phone, tablet, and desktop layouts, touch and keyboard controls, and locally stored progress. | Mentions both draw modes and progress saved locally. |
| Solitaire.com | Classic Solitaire/Klondike in a browser without downloading or registering. | Lists hints, unlimited undo, daily challenges, and Turn 1 and Turn 3. |
| Solitaire Bliss | Free online Solitaire and other variations. | Explains Klondike’s objective and setup. |
These descriptions are publishers’ own statements, not a comparison based on hands-on testing. Check the site itself before playing if a particular feature—such as no ads, local progress saving, or a specific control option—is important to you.
How to choose a site
- For a draw mode: Turn 1 exposes one stock card per draw; Turn 3 turns over three, with only the top exposed card immediately playable. Turn 3 generally offers fewer immediate choices, though the challenge depends on the deal and the site’s implementation.
- For undo or hints: Solitaire.com lists hints and unlimited undo. The other sites’ claims summarized here do not establish whether they offer those features.
- For touch or keyboard controls: Solitaire.online says it supports both, along with layouts for phones, tablets, and desktop. Other device-support details are based on each publisher’s description.
- For progress saving: Solitaire.online says progress is stored locally. That is not the same as an account-based cloud save, and the publisher’s description does not establish how long progress persists.
- For an account-free start: KlondikeSolitaire.com, Solitaire.online, and Solitaire.com say registration is not required. Confirm the current page if you want to avoid creating an account.
Free access, device support, account requirements, and ad experience may vary with the browser, device, region, or network, and site features can change.

What Klondike Solitaire is
Klondike is the familiar single-player Solitaire game played with a standard 52-card deck. The aim is to move every card to four foundations, one for each suit, building upward from Ace to King.
The tableau and stock
The tableau has seven columns. Build face-up sequences downward in alternating colors—for example, a black 9 can be placed on a red 10. Revealing face-down cards is central to making more moves. Cards from the stock go to a waste pile; the exposed waste card can move to a tableau column or foundation when the move is legal.

Turn 1 versus Turn 3
In Turn 1, draw one stock card at a time. In Turn 3, draw three cards at a time, but only the exposed top card can be played immediately. The draw setting affects which cards become available and how many choices you have; it does not change the foundation goal or tableau-building pattern.
Are all Klondike deals winnable?
No universal solvability rate is established here. KlondikeSolitaire.com estimates that roughly 80% of random deals are solvable, and Solitaire.online says around 80% are theoretically winnable. These are publisher estimates, not results from a named independent study; the pages do not provide methods. Solvability also depends on the rules, draw mode, and how a site generates deals, so do not treat either figure as a guarantee for a particular game.

If you prefer to play offline, Klondike uses a standard 52-card deck. That is an alternative, not a requirement for playing in a browser.
