For official NHL goalie stats and individual game logs, start with NHL.com’s goalie statistics. Choose By Game for a goalie’s individual appearances, By Season for season totals, or All-Time for historical leaders. For a secondary check of season totals, use Hockey-Reference; for tracking-oriented measures, use NHL EDGE.

Which source should you use?

Source Best for Detail and authority
NHL.com goalie statistics Official NHL game logs, season totals, and historical leaders Offers By Game, By Season, and All-Time views, along with filters and an export control. Official league statistics.
Hockey-Reference NHL goalie statistics Cross-checking season-level statistics A secondary season table. Complete individual game-log coverage for every goalie is not established here.
NHL EDGE Goalie tracking-oriented statistics A separate NHL resource organized around season and goalie selection; use it when standard game-log totals are not the measure you need.

Find an individual goalie game log on NHL.com

  1. Open NHL.com’s goalie statistics.
  2. Select By Game to view individual appearances rather than season aggregates.
  3. Use the available filters to narrow the view to the goalie, season, or game context you need.
  4. Check the selected season, game type, and filter settings before relying on a row. Use the interface’s export control if you need to reuse the selected view.

A season-total table answers how a goalie performed across a season; it does not answer every question about a particular appearance. If you are checking a specific game, use the by-game view.

Check season totals and historical leaders

On NHL.com, choose By Season for season aggregates or All-Time for historical leaders. For an additional season-level reference, compare the relevant table with Hockey-Reference’s NHL goalie statistics. Treat NHL.com as the authoritative source for NHL-record data and Hockey-Reference as a secondary cross-check.

Use NHL EDGE for tracking-oriented questions

Standard goalie statistics and game-log totals are not the right source for every question. When you need tracking-oriented measures, go to NHL EDGE’s goalie statistics, where the interface is organized around season and goalie selection. It is a distinct resource from the standard NHL goalie statistics views.

Check the scope before citing a number

  • Confirm the season and game type selected; current-season numbers can change.
  • Make sure you are looking at the right level: an individual game, a season aggregate, or an all-time view.
  • Review active filters so that the displayed row matches the goalie and game context you intend to discuss.
  • Use the source appropriate to the statistic: NHL.com for official standard NHL records, Hockey-Reference for a secondary season-table comparison, and NHL EDGE for tracking-oriented measures.
