Reporting an unauthorized payment

If you see a payment you do not recognize, PayPal’s US guidance says to open Report a problem, select the payment, and choose the unauthorized-activity reason. Before reporting it, check whether a family member made the payment or whether it came from an automatic payment, such as a subscription. See PayPal’s instructions for reporting unauthorized transactions.
