To open Discover in Apple Wallet on iPhone, open Wallet, tap the More button, then tap Discover. Apple describes it as a place to learn about items you can keep in Wallet—not as the control for adding a particular card or pass.

What Discover does—and how to add an item
Discover is for exploring what Wallet can hold. Apple lists eligible credit and debit cards, passes, transit cards, identity cards, keys, and other items; Wallet can also show order tracking and receipts. What you can use depends on supported items and regional availability.
To add a specific supported item, use its Add to Apple Wallet option in an app, email, message, or webpage. For items that can be added directly from Wallet, tap Add Card and follow the prompts. Discover is a browse-and-learn route, not a substitute for those add-item steps.

Is Discover new in iOS 27?
Apple’s June 2026 announcement of iOS 27 Wallet updates highlights bill splitting with Apple Cash, creating passes from physical cards, and enhanced hotel keys at participating properties. It does not identify Discover as a new feature. Apple’s iOS feature availability page also does not list Discover as a distinct feature. The documented path explains how to find Discover, but does not establish when the section was introduced.
Availability and what to expect
Apple cautions that Wallet, Apple Pay, and their features are not available everywhere, and supported cards, passes, and other items vary. The reviewed Apple documentation does not establish whether Discover’s screen or menu placement differs by iOS 27 device or region. No physical accessory is identified as necessary to open it.
