For Fortnite’s 2026 ninth-birthday event, Birthday Presents were reported as chest loot and floor loot in Fortnite OG, around Named Locations. Junk Junction was one place a guide writer reported finding one, but it was not a guaranteed spawn. The reported quest window ended September 30, 2026, so current availability is unconfirmed.
Where Birthday Presents spawned during the 2026 event
Beebom’s guide, updated September 21, 2026, reported that Birthday Presents appeared as chest loot and floor loot around Named Locations in Fortnite OG. It said the item did not spawn in standard Battle Royale or Zero Build during that event. The Click’s September 24 guide also pointed players to Fortnite OG and chest or floor loot.
Junk Junction is a reasonable area to search based on Beebom’s reported find, not a fixed spawn point. Birthday Presents could appear elsewhere around Named Locations, and the reviewed guides do not establish a guaranteed location or spawn rate.

- Queue into Fortnite OG while the birthday event quest is active.
- Search chests and scan floor loot as you move through Named Locations. You can try Junk Junction, but keep searching if you do not find one there.
- Pick up a Birthday Present when it appears. If you are completing the quest, equip and throw it; finding or carrying it alone does not complete the described action.
- Check the active in-game quest text and progress counter. The 2026 guides described an objective to find and throw three Presents.
The guides reported a quest deadline of September 30, 2026. Because that date has passed, these steps describe the reported event window; the reviewed sources do not confirm that the quest or item is currently available.

What happens when you throw a Birthday Present
The event guide says to throw the Present and then break it open with a pickaxe to access its contents. It describes the contents broadly as Epic- or Legendary-tier items or weapons, without establishing a specific guaranteed drop or fixed quantity.
Epic’s Creative documentation for portable items explains that portable items can be thrown to a desired location and describes Birthday Presents as a combat-item bundle that can provide cover. That documentation concerns Creative mechanics; it does not establish where Birthday Presents spawn in Battle Royale or whether they are currently available there.

Is the birthday present still available?
Availability on October 4, 2026, is not established by the reviewed sources. Beebom’s guide reported that the birthday quest window ended September 30, 2026, and the reviewed material does not verify a live loot table or a later event. Check Fortnite’s active quests and in-game announcements for confirmation before searching.
