The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition launched on June 24, 2025, for $399.99 in the US. Xbox named Meta.com and Best Buy as US retailers, and Argos and EE in the UK—but said quantities were extremely limited. Those are launch channels, not confirmation of stock today, so check each retailer’s live listing before buying.
Where to buy the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition
Xbox’s June 24, 2025 launch announcement named these retailers:
| Region | Retailers named at launch |
|---|---|
| United States | Meta.com and Best Buy |
| United Kingdom | Argos and EE |
Xbox described quantities as “extremely limited.” The announcement does not establish whether any of these retailers has stock now, or what the current price is. Check the retailer’s own listing for availability, seller, and price; a marketplace resale listing is not the same as official retailer inventory. If the Xbox Edition is unavailable, a standard Quest 3S is a different product and does not include this edition’s accessories and subscriptions.

Is it a better bargain than a standard Quest 3S?
At announcement, the Xbox Edition cost $399.99, while Meta announced the standard Quest 3S starting at $299.99 in September 2024. That is a $100 difference between the two launch prices—not a guarantee that the bundle saves $100 compared with buying accessories separately, or that either model still sells for its launch price.

| Comparison | Xbox Edition | Standard Quest 3S |
|---|---|---|
| Announced price | $399.99 US launch price, announced June 24, 2025 by Xbox. | Starting at $299.99, announced September 2024 by Meta. |
| Storage and styling | 128GB; Xbox Carbon Black and Velocity Green styling. | Meta’s announcement describes the standard model; it does not establish a matching Xbox colorway or the Xbox bundle. |
| Included extras | Limited-edition Xbox Wireless Controller, Elite Strap, and three-month trials of Meta Horizon+ and Game Pass Ultimate. | The cited launch announcement does not list those Xbox Edition bundle extras. |
| Quest apps and games | Quest library support. | Quest library support; Meta positioned it as a lower-priced headset with Quest 3 mixed-reality capabilities and fast performance. |
| Xbox Cloud Gaming | Supported, subject to Xbox’s requirements. | Also supported, subject to Xbox’s requirements. |
The Xbox Edition is more compelling if you want its controller and Elite Strap, expect to use both subscription trials, and like the limited-edition look. If those extras do not matter to you, the standard model’s lower announced starting price may be the better fit. Decide using the current local price and seller, the actual bundle contents, trial terms, and whether you will use Xbox cloud gaming—not the launch-price gap alone.

Is the Quest 3S Xbox Edition a US exclusive?
No: Xbox’s launch announcement named retailers in both the United States and the United Kingdom—Meta.com and Best Buy in the US, Argos and EE in the UK. That establishes announced launch channels in those two countries, not current stock or worldwide availability. Check the retailer listings for your region rather than assuming a US listing ships internationally.

Does Xbox Cloud Gaming require the Xbox Edition?
No. Xbox lists Quest 3S, Quest 3, Quest Pro, and Quest 2 as supported headsets. The Xbox Edition’s distinction is its bundle, styling, and included trial, not exclusive access to cloud gaming.
Xbox says cloud gaming requires a Quest headset, compatible controller, the Xbox app, high-speed internet, and an active Game Pass subscription for most cloud games. It recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi and at least 20 Mbps download speed for best performance; actual results depend on the connection, location, device, and other factors. Game titles, features, counts, and availability can vary by time, region, plan, and platform. Check Xbox’s cloud gaming guidance for current requirements and catalog details.

Check before you buy
- Confirm the listing says “Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition 128GB,” rather than the standard Quest 3S.
- Verify the seller, regional availability, current price, and exact items included on the retailer’s live page.
- Review the terms and recurring billing details for both subscription trials before redeeming them; the trials are time-limited, and post-trial charges depend on current offer terms.
- Consider whether you will use the controller, Elite Strap, and subscriptions enough to justify paying more than the standard model’s launch starting price.
