Samsung monitors are not reported as being made in just one country. Samsung’s 2025 annual report names Mexico, Vietnam, Brazil, and Hungary as major production sites for the combined category “TVs, monitors, etc.” A separate Samsung disclosure identifies a TV/monitor production subsidiary in Tianjin, China. Those disclosures describe a multi-country footprint, but they do not show which factory made a particular monitor model or unit.

Which countries does Samsung list for monitor-related production?

Samsung’s 2025 annual report says its DX Division produced 44.361 million units in 2025 in the combined category “TVs, monitors, etc.” It names Mexico, Vietnam, Brazil, and Hungary as major production sites for that category. Because the total and locations combine monitors with TVs and other products, they should not be read as monitor-only figures or as proof that every site makes every monitor model. Samsung Electronics 2025 annual report

Samsung’s investor disclosure also names Tianjin Samsung Electronics (TSEC) in China as a TV/monitor production subsidiary. This confirms a reported operation, but does not establish that a specific current monitor model—or any individual unit—was made there. Samsung management information disclosure

Are Samsung monitors made in China?

Samsung has disclosed a China-based TV/monitor production subsidiary in Tianjin, so China is part of the reported production footprint. The same evidence also names major sites in Mexico, Vietnam, Brazil, and Hungary for the broader TV, monitor, and related-products category. Neither disclosure supports the claim that all Samsung monitors are made in China—or that a particular model is.

Why panel manufacturing and monitor assembly are different

A finished monitor and the display panel inside it are different parts of the supply chain. Samsung Display’s 2023 sustainability report covers Korean campuses and overseas subsidiaries in Bac Ninh, Vietnam; Dongguan and Tianjin, China; and Noida, India. Those are display-company reporting locations and should not be treated as a list of factories assembling finished Samsung monitors. Samsung Display Sustainability Report 2023

Samsung Electronics’ 2024 sustainability report describes manufacturing operations in countries including China, Vietnam, and India, but does not attribute monitor models to specific factories. Company-wide manufacturing information therefore cannot answer where one monitor was assembled. Samsung Electronics Sustainability Report 2024

How to find where your Samsung monitor was made

  1. Check the monitor’s origin marking. Look for the country-of-origin text on the unit, often on a rear label, or on its packaging. Read the marking on the actual item rather than inferring origin from Samsung’s general production locations.
  2. Record the exact model code and market variant. If the marking is unclear, use the full model identifier when checking the product documentation or asking Samsung support. Similar model names can refer to different variants, so a broad model family may not settle the origin.
  3. Use model-specific documentation or support for clarification. The cited company reports do not provide a reliable model-to-factory lookup. A country listed for a company site is not a substitute for confirmation of the unit’s own origin.

What the public figures can—and cannot—tell you

  • They establish: Samsung reports a multi-country footprint for the combined TV, monitor, and related-products category, and separately identifies a TV/monitor production subsidiary in Tianjin.
  • They do not establish: monitor-only output by country, a factory assignment for each model, or the origin of an individual monitor.
  • They do not make the 2025 output figure monitor-specific: 44.361 million is the reported 2025 total for “TVs, monitors, etc.,” not monitors alone.
