For LG OLED TVs covered by LG’s US limited warranty, the standard term is one year of parts and labor. Certain named OLED model families also get extra coverage on the OLED display panel in years two through five, but you pay the labor during those later years. That is not a five-year warranty on the whole television, and these terms apply to US purchases only.
What the first year covers
LG’s US OLED limited warranty says: “Should your LG OLED TV (“Product”) fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship under normal and proper use, during the warranty period set forth below, LG Electronics (“LG”) will, at its option, repair or replace the Product.” For the named OLED model families, the first year includes internal and functional parts, including the OLED display panel, with labor included. The period runs from original retail purchase or delivery, as applicable under law.

Years two to five: what the panel term adds
On the listed families, LG extends coverage on the OLED display panel from year two through year five. That extension differs from the first year in two ways: it covers the panel only, and LG states that labor will be charged. A panel failure in year three is still repaired under the warranty, but you pay for the labor. Treat it as a longer term on one component, not a second full warranty on the set.

Which models get the extended panel term
The US OLED warranty names the G-series families G1 through G6, along with specified Z, M and W families, for the later panel provision. Find your exact model number on the rating label on the back of the set or on the box, then check LG’s support page for that model and the warranty document shipped with it. Model pages can be updated, so the current document is the final word.

LG’s support page for this 2025 model lists one year of parts and labor, plus OLED panel coverage in years two through five with labor charged. This is the clearest example of the extended panel term in practice.
2026 OLED77B6AUA (B-series)
LG’s support page for this 2026 model lists one year of parts and labor and directs owners to the detailed warranty delivered with the product. The page does not list a years-two-through-five panel term. Do not assume the G-series provision applies to a B-series set; confirm it in the warranty document for your model.

Who and where the warranty applies
- Purchaser: the warranty covers the original purchaser.
- Location: it covers products lawfully purchased and used in the United States and its territories.
- Cause: it covers defects in materials or workmanship during normal and proper use.
- Other countries: these terms do not answer the question for other markets, where LG’s local warranty may differ. Check LG’s support site for your country.
How to make a claim
- Locate the original sales invoice showing the model and purchase date. LG requires it for service.
- Contact LG support and obtain a return authorization before you send the television back.
- Ship the set according to the return authorization instructions. LG says it bears inbound and outbound shipping costs under this limited warranty.
- Keep a copy of the invoice and your return authorization until the repair is complete.
Exclusions to check before you claim
The headline term is not the whole story. Read the full warranty for your model before assuming a particular failure is covered.
- The complete warranty lists exclusions and qualifications beyond the headline duration.
- The standard US LCD, LED and OLED warranty excludes some service visits and removal and reinstallation of the set.
- The standard warranty also addresses non-household use and electrical supply problems, so check how these apply to your situation.

LG’s G5 support page links to LG Premium Care extended service plans. Current plan eligibility, terms and pricing are not covered here, so confirm them directly with LG before buying one.
