If you own the existing Nintendo Switch version, Nintendo’s announcement says you can upgrade to the Switch 2 version for free through Nintendo eShop, whether your Switch copy is physical or digital. The physical-copy provision refers to the existing Switch edition; the announcement does not establish that a physical Switch 2 edition is available.
Nintendo names visual, performance and gameplay improvements, alongside gyro aiming, Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and touch-screen support. The announcement gives no numerical performance benchmark, so it does not establish a specific frame rate or resolution.
