The feature most likely behind the title is One Hand Operation+, a Good Lock module that lets you assign Galaxy phone or tablet actions to thumb swipes from the edges of the screen. It can make frequent commands such as Back, Home, and Recent apps easier to reach, but it is not a standard One UI setting and availability varies by device and software version.
What One Hand Operation+ does
Samsung describes One Hand Operation+ as a way to control a phone or tablet with a thumb. You can configure horizontal and diagonal-up or diagonal-down gestures to perform actions such as Back, Home, and Recent apps, and adjust where gesture handles appear or add handles.
Samsung’s 2025 description also lists options for left- or right-handed use, touch-recognition range, vibration intensity, excluding apps, and S Pen gestures. The precise options available can depend on the device and software version, so treat that list as a set of capabilities Samsung has described, not a guarantee for every Galaxy model.

- Open the Galaxy Store on your Galaxy device and search for Good Lock.
- Install Good Lock if it appears as available for your device.
- Open Good Lock and download or update One Hand Operation+ from within the app.
- Open the module, enable the gesture handles, and assign actions to the swipe directions you want to use.
These installation instructions follow Samsung’s India support guide, updated October 1, 2026. Samsung notes that Good Lock apps and settings can vary by model and software version. If Good Lock or the module does not appear in your Galaxy Store, check availability for your device and region rather than assuming it is supported everywhere.

Why it can feel like a power-user feature
The practical appeal is reducing the reach and taps needed for actions you use repeatedly. Instead of reaching for a navigation control, a configured edge swipe can trigger Back, Home, or Recent apps. That may be useful when holding a large phone in one hand, but Samsung’s feature description does not establish a measured productivity improvement; whether the gestures help depends on your setup and habits.
One Hand Operation+ is part of Samsung’s Good Lock customization suite, rather than a feature positively identified as a built-in One UI setting. Samsung reported that One Hand Operation+ ranked third among Good Lock’s most-used features, with more than 16 million cumulative downloads through early March 2025. That is a historical download count—not a count of active users, unique people, or evidence of satisfaction.

One Hand Operation+ versus Edge panels
These features both use screen-edge interactions, but they serve different purposes:

Availability still depends on the device and software.

What to check before relying on it
- Confirm availability: Search Galaxy Store on the device you plan to use; Samsung says Good Lock features and settings vary by model and software version.
- Start with a few gestures: Assign only actions you expect to use often, then add more if they feel natural.
- Consider accidental input: If edge swipes interfere with how you use an app, look for the module’s recognition-range or app-exclusion options when available on your version.
- Separate download counts from outcomes: Samsung’s March 2025 figure indicates cumulative downloads, not proof that the module makes every user faster or more productive.
