If you believe Gray Zone Warfare wrongly accused or banned you for cheating, check the exact notice, then appeal through MADFINGER Games’ official support route. Explain why you believe the action is mistaken and provide relevant, dated evidence. The game’s EULA says reviews typically take 7–14 days, depending on case complexity and support workload; that is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline.
First, identify what kind of ban or notice you received
Read the notice carefully before appealing. A developer-issued game ban and a Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) ban have different appeal routes. Do not assume a Gray Zone Warfare enforcement notice is a VAC ban; check its exact wording and the platform named.

- Developer game ban: Contact MADFINGER Games through the official Gray Zone Warfare support route. Steam says the game developer is responsible for its ban decision and has the information needed to address an appeal: Steam game-ban guidance.
- VAC ban: Steam says it does not manually remove VAC bans. If an investigation determines that a VAC ban was issued incorrectly, it is removed automatically. See Steam’s VAC guidance.
If you are unsure which type applies, follow the appeal instructions in the notice or the current Gray Zone Warfare support information rather than sending the same appeal to multiple places.
Prepare a focused, evidence-based appeal
MADFINGER’s Gray Zone Warfare End User License Agreement directs players to explain why they believe the ban was a mistake and provide useful details. It lists examples of supporting material, including screenshots, video, timestamps, incident descriptions, player IDs, logs, and chat histories.

- Save the notice. Keep a copy of the exact accusation or ban message. Note when it appeared, including the time zone if you know it, and record any account name or case number shown.
- Write a short timeline. Describe what happened immediately before the action in chronological order. Stick to what you observed rather than guessing what triggered it.
- Choose relevant evidence. Include records that relate directly to the incident, such as unedited screenshots or recordings, relevant logs, timestamps, or chat history. Keep the original files so you can provide them if requested.
- Explain relevant setup accurately. Review the published rules and disclose any software, hardware, or system configuration that may be relevant. Do not claim an application caused the ban unless you have evidence for that connection.
- Submit through the official route. Use the support path identified by the current game site or in-game support instructions. The EULA says: “Please use the "send feedback button" in-game menu to redirect you to the report form.” Retain the submission confirmation.
- Monitor the case. Check the email associated with the account, including its spam folder, and reply through the case channel if support asks for clarification.
Check the rules that may apply to your case
The Gray Zone Warfare EULA prohibits several kinds of conduct, including unauthorized third-party software, exploits, macros, scripts, modified controllers, and virtualized environments. Read the EULA and address only provisions that could reasonably relate to your situation. The rules do not, by themselves, explain why a particular account was flagged.
Give a truthful account of your setup and actions. Avoid asserting that mass reports caused the enforcement, or that a particular background application triggered detection, unless you have reliable evidence. A public account of another player’s case does not establish what happened to your account.

Watch the account email for updates and respond to requests for information through the existing case.
