UK shoppers can pre-order the iPhone Duo from 1:00 pm (UK time) on Friday 16 October 2026, according to Apple’s UK product page. Apple’s announcement gives the equivalent launch moment as 5:00 am Pacific Time. That is the pre-order opening, not the general release: Apple says the iPhone Duo will be available from Friday 23 October 2026.
When can you pre-order the iPhone Duo in the UK?
Apple’s UK page displays a 1:00 pm start for pre-orders on Friday 16 October 2026. If you are in the UK, use that local time rather than converting the 5:00 am Pacific Time shown in Apple’s global announcement. The listing is a launch-time detail and should be checked again close to Friday in case Apple changes the displayed schedule.
When does the iPhone Duo go on sale generally?
Apple separates ordering from release. Pre-orders begin on 16 October, while the phone is scheduled to become available on Friday 23 October. Apple says sales will run through Apple UK and selected network providers and retailers. The cited Apple page does not name those third-party sellers, so availability, pricing and any network offers should be confirmed directly with each seller.
UK prices and storage options
Apple’s UK buy page lists four capacities, each offered in Star White or Night Sky. These are UK prices shown for the 2026 launch, not converted US prices:

The difference between the entry 256GB model and the 2TB model is £1,200. Choose capacity before the store opens if you want to move quickly at 1:00 pm; changing configuration after checkout may mean losing your place in the ordering queue.

Apple’s 9 September 2026 announcement also names two iPhone Duo accessories that can be ordered from Friday 16 October:

Those are Apple’s announced UK prices and colours. They do not establish stock at independent retailers or marketplaces.

- Decide on storage and colour. The four capacities and two listed colours are the choices shown on Apple’s UK purchase page.
- Sign in and check payment details. Have your Apple Account, delivery address and preferred payment method ready before the opening time.
- Set a reminder for 12:50 pm UK time. The stated start is 1:00 pm, so allow time to open Apple’s UK iPhone Duo page and confirm that the local countdown or ordering control has appeared.
- Review the delivery estimate before paying. A pre-order reserves an order during the launch window; it is not the same as collecting the phone on 16 October.
- Keep the confirmation email. It records the configuration, price and estimated fulfilment details if you need to contact Apple about the order.
Pre-ordering versus waiting until 23 October

What Apple has claimed about the launch
In its 9 September 2026 announcement, Apple attributes this description to John Ternus: “iPhone Duo is the most transformational change to iPhone since the original.” That is Apple’s characterization of the product, not an independent comparison or test result.
