Beyerdynamic’s Aventho Y is reported at $149.99, with claimed battery life of up to 90 hours with ANC off or 60 hours with ANC on. Those figures and its replaceable-battery design make it an intriguing lower-priced option, but they do not establish that it matches Sony or Bose for noise cancellation, sound, or comfort.
What the Aventho Y is reported to offer
In a September 11, 2026 article, Techlicious describes the Aventho Y as a foldable, closed-back, over-ear active noise-canceling headphone priced at $149.99. The figures and features below are the article’s reporting, not independently verified measurements or manufacturer specifications. Techlicious
- Design: 11.1 ounces, with four reported colors: Liquid Black, Soft Jade, Peach Blush, and Blue Fusion.
- Audio and listening modes: 45mm dynamic drivers, ANC, and Transparency Mode.
- Wireless: Bluetooth 6.0 multipoint for simultaneous connections to two devices; SBC and AAC codecs are reported.
- Calls and controls: Two integrated microphones with environmental noise cancellation for calls, plus an app with a five-band EQ, genre presets, and customizable controls.
- Replaceable parts: Magnetically attached ear pads and a replaceable battery housed in a compartment in an ear cup.
The Techlicious article does not mention aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC. That omission is not proof that the Aventho Y cannot support those codecs; confirm codec support with manufacturer documentation before relying on it.

Techlicious reports estimated endurance of 90 hours with ANC disabled and 60 hours with ANC enabled. It also reports that a five-minute charge provides six hours of playback and that a full charge takes one hour. These are article-reported estimates; the source does not provide independent test measurements or enough testing conditions to predict your results.
#1 Best Overall
- Signature beyerdynamic sound from 45 mm dynamic drivers in a closed-back, foldable over-ear design
- Up to 90 hours of battery life (60 hours with ANC on). A 5-minute fast charge adds 6 hours of playtime
- Active noise cancelling with transparency mode, so you can tune the world out or stay aware of your surroundings
- Bluetooth 6.0 with multipoint: pair two devices and switch seamlessly. SBC and AAC codecs, up to 20 m range
- Built to last with a replaceable battery, interchangeable ear pads and a 5-band EQ in the free beyerdynamic app
The replaceable battery could matter more over the headphones’ lifespan than a long runtime between charges: a battery that can be replaced may help avoid replacing the entire headset when its original battery degrades. But the article does not establish whether replacement batteries are currently sold, what they cost, or how straightforward replacement is in practice. Ear pads are described as swappable, while their current availability and price are also unverified.
How the reported price compares with Sony and Bose
Techlicious juxtaposes the Aventho Y’s reported $149.99 price and 60-hour ANC-on estimate with Sony WH-1000XM6 and Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones. Its September 11, 2026 article lists the Sony at $398 (usually $459.99) and the Bose at $399.99 (usually $449). Those are article-era prices, not current quotes.

The table shows the price and endurance claims the article supplies, not an overall performance ranking. It does not provide comparable battery figures for Sony and Bose, nor does it establish how the Aventho Y performs against either pair.

What a fair comparison still needs to establish
Battery life and replaceability are useful decision factors, but they cannot answer whether these headphones are the better choice for everyday listening. Techlicious writer Sherri L. Smith cautioned that the product’s promise “needs comprehensive testing to know for sure.” In particular, the source does not settle:

The reported $149.99 price, long estimated runtime, and replaceable-battery approach make the Aventho Y worth watching for buyers who value endurance and potential repairability. If ANC performance, comfort, sound quality, or call performance is the deciding factor, wait for independent comparative testing or verify those points from reliable product documentation. The current evidence supports interest—not a claim that the Aventho Y puts Sony or Bose behind.
