1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCrypto employers look for skills that fit the work—not one universal crypto résumé. Engineering roles may call for languages such as Solidity, Python, Rust, or Go alongside production software skills. But companies also hire for compliance, product, operations, finance, marketing, customer support, and other functions. Experience and degree expectations vary by role and employer, so focus on showing relevant work and explaining what you contributed.
Crypto hiring spans more than software development
Crypto is an industry context, not a single occupation. A company may need people to build or secure software, manage products, meet legal obligations, support customers, run operations, or bring products to market.
In Bitvocation’s Bitcoin-only dataset, 74% of 1,801 job listings in 2025 were for nondeveloper roles. Product Manager, Executive Assistant, and Marketing Manager were among its leading nondeveloper titles; Software Engineer, Frontend Engineer, and Full Stack Engineer were among its developer titles. The listings also included operations, finance, legal, sales, public relations, HR, design, mining, and customer service. This is evidence about Bitcoin jobs, not a count of the entire crypto or Web3 labor market. Bitvocation’s 2025 Bitcoin jobs report describes its scope and categories.
A separate H1 2026 market snapshot by Tiger Research, summarized by CoinGecko, counted 2,932 active postings and reported engineering as 34.1% and compliance/legal as 10.4%. It also identified centralized exchanges and stablecoin and payments companies as significant sectors. The data was manually tracked across job boards, company career pages, and Korean platforms, so it is a snapshot of that collection method—not a census. Its percentages should not be combined with Bitvocation’s Bitcoin-specific figures. CoinGecko’s summary of Tiger Research’s H1 2026 analysis was updated June 29, 2026.

Cryptogrind’s August 2026 sample of roles from 56 companies included security, AI and machine learning, operations, marketing, compliance, DeFi, blockchain development, smart contracts, Web3, research, and design. The publisher says its sample leans toward larger exchanges and infrastructure firms, so it is best read as a view of tracked employers rather than the whole industry. Cryptogrind’s August 2026 roles sample gives its coverage.

These percentages are the share of unique postings linked to the Blockchain Engineer occupation that mentioned each skill, for US postings from January 1 through December 31, 2025. They are not the share of employers requiring a skill, and they do not mean one candidate needs every item. PostgreSQL, React, Git, C++, MongoDB, REST APIs, and C# also appeared in the table. Use the figures as a guide to the variety of stacks, then check the specific vacancy. O*NET’s Blockchain Engineers profile presents the Lightcast-linked skill data and occupation details.

That analysis names transversal capabilities as well: teamwork and emotional intelligence, systems and networked thinking, problem solving, communication, self-management, and self-responsibility. The practical implication is that the job may require you to explain trade-offs, work across functions, and connect implementation to a product or business need—not just write code. CHAISE’s Annual Blockchain Skills Forecast 2023 is the source for these categories.
The European Blockchain Skills Strategy, published March 23, 2022, also examines blockchain labor-market skill supply and demand and proposes training responses. It offers a framework for thinking about skills, but its publication date makes it less suitable as a current vacancy count. The European Commission’s strategy page describes the initiative.

How much experience and education do crypto jobs require?
There is no single experience threshold for blockchain-related work. In CHAISE’s 2023 analysis of blockchain job advertisements, 56% required up to three years of experience or no previous experience; 35% asked for at least three years, and 9% for at least five years. About 65% either did not specify a minimum education requirement or said no formal degree was required.
Those figures describe the advertisements CHAISE analyzed, not a guarantee about a current vacancy or every crypto role. Read the requirements for the job you want: “three years” in a junior support function is not interchangeable with three years designing production protocols. The CHAISE forecast explains its job-ad analysis and categories in its 2023 report.

How to show relevant experience
Make it easy for a hiring team to see what you can do and how it relates to the role. Match the evidence to the work product and responsibilities in the vacancy rather than relying on a generic claim of interest in crypto.
- Engineering: Link to a repository, shipped feature, security or audit contribution, data project, or production system. Explain your specific contribution and its result.
- Product: Show a project, product decision, user problem, or launch and how you evaluated the outcome.
- Compliance, legal, and finance: Describe relevant controls, analysis, reporting, policy, or regulatory work, with your role in the process made clear.
- Operations and support: Give examples of improving a process, resolving customer problems, or handling work reliably across teams.
- Marketing and sales: Show relevant campaigns, customer research, communications, or business outcomes, while being precise about your contribution.
Prior crypto employment is not established as a universal requirement by the available job-ad evidence. If you are switching industries, make the connection between your existing experience and the employer’s actual responsibilities explicit.
What Bitcoin employers say they value
Bitvocation’s 2025 report says surveyed Bitcoin employers emphasized contribution and proof of work, communication, ownership, understanding of Bitcoin, and the ability to work well in small, fast-moving teams. Fewer than 20 employers took part, and Bitvocation describes the findings as anecdotal rather than statistically representative. Treat them as useful qualitative themes, not a ranked checklist for all crypto companies. The report’s editorial takeaway is: “You don’t need to be a developer to build a career in Bitcoin.” Bitvocation’s report keeps that statement in its Bitcoin-only context.
How to compare crypto job postings
Before choosing a course, building a portfolio, or applying, compare the details that distinguish one vacancy from another:
Recommended Free Tools
- Role family: Is the work engineering, security, compliance/legal, product, operations, finance, marketing, support, or another function?
- Employer and ecosystem: Is the organization Bitcoin-focused, an exchange, a payments or stablecoin business, infrastructure provider, DeFi project, or another type of company?
- Work product and tools: Will you build, secure, analyze, operate, support, or sell a product? Which languages, tools, or domain knowledge does the posting actually name?
- Seniority and ownership: What scope, decision-making, or examples of comparable work does the posting expect, beyond its stated years of experience?
- Location and work arrangement: Check eligible jurisdictions and any geographic restrictions, not just whether the posting says “remote.”
For example, Bitvocation reported that 809 of its 1,801 Bitcoin listings in 2025—45%—were advertised as remote, while noting that many still had geographic constraints. Remote therefore does not necessarily mean open to applicants everywhere. The Bitvocation report provides that figure and qualification.
