A February 27, 2026, sponsored CIO BrandPost previewed Omnissa CEO Shankar Iyer as a planned main-stage speaker at IGEL Now & Next Miami 2026. Its central idea was a partnership model: Omnissa’s digital-work platform paired with IGEL’s endpoint foundation. The event was advertised for March 30–April 2 at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, but the preview does not confirm whether it took place as planned or what Iyer said on stage.

What the announcement covered

The item was a CIO BrandPost by Sachin Sharma of Omnissa, sponsored by IGEL. It promoted a planned appearance by Omnissa CEO Shankar Iyer at IGEL Now & Next Miami 2026. The article is vendor messaging, not independent reporting or a post-event account.

The announcement described the conference as bringing together technology companies including Microsoft, HP, Lenovo, Omnissa, and Zscaler, as well as CIOs, CISOs, and IT professionals. It advertised a four-day event from March 30 through April 2, 2026, at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Since those dates have passed, this preview alone cannot establish whether the gathering occurred on schedule.

The vendors’ proposed model for secure digital work

The BrandPost framed Omnissa and IGEL as complementary parts of an enterprise workspace. In its description, IGEL provides a secure, immutable endpoint foundation, while Omnissa brings together unified endpoint management, virtual desktops and apps, digital employee experience, and security in an integrated control plane.

The article attributed telemetry, automation, policy orchestration, and real-time IT issue resolution capabilities to Omnissa. These are product descriptions from the sponsor’s announcement, not independently verified results. The piece supplied no measured security, cost, or productivity outcomes and did not name a specific device or other consumer product to buy.

What Iyer was expected to emphasize

The preview connected the planned keynote to adapting security and digital work to changing context. It attributed this statement to Iyer: “Great tools are not enough to secure the modern enterprise; an AI-driven platform that adapts in real time to context from across the workspace can help organizations proactively reduce security risk while enabling employees to achieve what’s possible, without friction, from anywhere.”

What the preview does—and does not—establish

  • Established: Omnissa’s CEO was announced as a planned main-stage speaker, and the sponsored article presented Omnissa’s platform and IGEL’s endpoint approach as a combined model.
  • Not established: Whether the event took place as advertised, whether Iyer delivered the keynote, what was said on stage, or how well the described products perform in practice.
  • Not a buying guide: The article does not compare competing products, recommend a hardware model, or provide evidence for choosing a particular endpoint or platform.
