As of October 5, 2026, the largest screen in Samsung’s current U.S. tablet comparison is 14.6 inches, shared by the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Samsung labels the S12 Ultra “Coming Soon,” so the S11 Ultra is the established option to consider if you need a tablet now. Screen sizes and availability can change; confirm the current status on Samsung’s U.S. tablet comparison.
Which Samsung tablet has the biggest screen?
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra are tied at 14.6 inches in Samsung’s current U.S. comparison. “Largest” here means the display’s diagonal, Samsung’s published way of comparing screen sizes—not the tablet’s height or width. Samsung specifies display sizes as the diagonal of the full rectangle, so the visible area is slightly smaller where the corners are rounded.
The S12 Ultra is the forthcoming member of the tie: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 series page currently says “Coming Soon” and offers an availability-update signup. That status does not establish an order date or guarantee that the model is available to buy. The S11 Ultra has an established official product page and is the alternative to check if you want the same listed screen size without waiting for the S12 Ultra’s availability.
How the largest-screen models compare
Samsung lists both Ultra models with the same 14.6-inch diagonal, 2960 × 1848 resolution, Dynamic AMOLED 2X display technology, and 120 Hz refresh rate. Their screen specifications therefore do not make one larger than the other; availability, configuration, size, and your purchase timing are more useful distinctions.

These figures are from Samsung’s U.S. tablet comparison and its 2026 first-quarter interim report. The S12 Ultra measurements are listed in inches and pounds; the S11 Ultra measurements are reported in millimeters and grams. The different units do not indicate a size difference in display diagonal.
What the S12 Ultra listing says about features
Samsung’s comparison and S12 series materials list the forthcoming S12 Ultra with Wi-Fi 7, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, an upgraded vapor chamber, 45 W charging, and an 11,600 mAh battery. Samsung also advertises peak display brightness of 1,600 nits and up to seven OS and security upgrades. These are manufacturer-published specifications and claims, not independent performance or durability test results; regional configurations and software-support terms may differ.
Storage, memory, and expansion
Samsung lists 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB internal storage configurations, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB of memory. It lists microSD expansion up to 2 TB; the card is sold separately. Check the exact regional model and card compatibility before buying.

S Pen, speakers, and resistance
Samsung lists the S Pen as included, IP68 water and dust resistance, and four speakers with Dolby Atmos. For an optional keyboard cover, protective cover, or screen protector, check that Samsung identifies it as compatible with the exact tablet generation; an accessory labeled for another Ultra generation may not fit.
Battery-life estimate
Samsung’s comparison gives the S12 Ultra an estimate of up to 23 hours of video playback. Samsung’s footnote bases that estimate on local 720p video played in the default player, at 162-nit brightness, earbud volume 7, with Wi-Fi and mobile networking off. Samsung says actual results vary with settings, usage, and other factors, so treat the figure as a controlled manufacturer estimate rather than a guarantee of everyday runtime.
Is a 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab practical to carry?
A 14.6-inch screen comes in a large tablet body. Samsung lists the S12 Ultra Wi-Fi model at 1.52 lb and 12.85 × 8.21 × 0.20 inches. For the S11 Ultra, Samsung’s 2026 interim report gives a Wi-Fi weight of 692 g and dimensions of 208.5 × 326.3 × 5.1 mm. Consider the chassis and weight alongside the diagonal if you plan to carry the tablet daily or use it in cramped spaces.

Samsung’s interim report describes the S11 Ultra as “the thinnest and lightest tablet ever, equipped with the new S pen.” That is Samsung’s characterization, qualified in the report by the Ultra model’s 692 g and 5.1 mm specifications; it is not an independent comparison across all tablet makers.

Samsung’s comparison lists the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ at 13.1 inches and the Galaxy Tab S12+ at 12.6 inches. Neither exceeds the two 14.6-inch Ultra models. Samsung also marks the S12+ as coming soon on its S12 series page, so its availability needs the same check as the S12 Ultra. The S10 FE+ is a smaller-screen option to investigate if the Ultra size is more tablet than you want.
How to choose between the S12 Ultra and S11 Ultra
- Check availability first. The S12 Ultra is marked “Coming Soon” in Samsung’s U.S. material. Confirm its current order status and regional availability before treating it as purchasable; consider the established S11 Ultra if you need a model now.
- Compare configuration and total cost. Samsung lists multiple S12 Ultra memory and storage configurations, but the cited material does not establish live prices. Check the current price and exact configuration for your region rather than assuming the larger storage tier or newer model is the better value.
- Think about where you will use it. Both have a 14.6-inch display, but the S12 Ultra’s published Wi-Fi dimensions and weight—and the S11 Ultra’s reported dimensions and weight—make clear this is a large-format tablet. Consider how it fits your bag, desk, and typical use.
- Match accessories by generation. Samsung lists an included S Pen and optional tablet accessories, but keyboard and protective covers should be checked against the exact model. A microSD card is optional and sold separately if you want expansion.
