The Bloc is a mixed-use, open-air complex in Downtown Los Angeles with shops, restaurants, entertainment, office space, and the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles. It occupies a full city block along 7th Street and connects directly with 7th Street/Metro Center. Visitors can enter from 7th, Flower, or Hope Street; the exact route depends on whether you are visiting the retail center, an office, or the hotel.

What is The Bloc?

The Bloc brings retail, dining, entertainment, offices, and a hotel together in the heart of Downtown LA. Downtown LA describes it as an open-air urban center along the 7th Street corridor, near the Financial, Fashion, Jewelry, and Theater districts. The property says its shops and eateries span three levels and includes a cinema. See The Bloc’s official site and Downtown LA’s property profile for current information.

What shops, restaurants, and entertainment are at The Bloc?

The Bloc’s official visitor page describes a mix of eateries, bars, boutiques, and shops, as well as a cinema. It names UNIQLO, Starbucks, Alamo, JOEY DTLA, and HATCH in visitor directions and parking-validation information; those examples are not a complete tenant list. Businesses, promotions, and hours can change, so check the official site’s current directory and listings before choosing a particular destination.

District DTLA is identified by The Bloc as the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles’s signature restaurant and bar. Its official page describes contemporary American food, seasonal flavors, cocktails, indoor seating, and an outdoor patio. Listed breakfast hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30–10:30 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7–10:30 a.m.; the page also says a breakfast buffet is served daily. Confirm current hours and service details on the District DTLA page.

The Bloc connects with the 7th Street/Metro Center station. The property directs rail passengers to follow signs for the Hope Street exit; after the turnstiles, the center entrance is to the right. The station entrance into The Bloc is on Plaza level behind Starbucks. The Bloc lists these entrance hours as Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m.–10 p.m., and closed Sunday. Check the official visitor page for current access details and confirm station conditions before traveling.

  • Rideshare: The Bloc directs drivers to enter 700 W. 7th Street for drop-off at the grand retail entrance.
  • Retail or office parking: The visitor page directs drivers to the Flower Street entrance, on the left when traveling south on Flower. Follow signs inside for the office lobby, stores, food and drink, or cinema.
