“10-7-3” is a social-media interpretation of flydubai flight number FZ1073: users split the digits into “10/7” and “3,” linking them to October 7 and the third anniversary of the 2023 Hamas-led attack. The available evidence does not establish that the flight number was chosen for that meaning or that the incident was connected to the attack. A real cockpit security incident occurred; the claimed connection remains unverified.
What does the “10-7-3” theory claim?
People sharing the theory read “1073” as “10/7/3”: October 7, three years after the October 7, 2023 attack. Hindustan Times describes the interpretation as gaining attention partly because FZ1073 was flying to Tel Aviv and the incident happened shortly before the anniversary. Those details may explain the association, but they do not show that the number was deliberately selected, or that the timing and incident were coordinated. Hindustan Times says there is no evidence for a deliberate choice or a connection.
PassportNews also describes the proposed link as unverified. The number is a flight identifier; calling it a “code” or treating its digits as evidence goes beyond what has been established. PassportNews

What have UAE authorities said about the co-pilot and motive?
On October 3, 2026, UAE Attorney-General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi said investigators found that the co-pilot attempted a terrorist act, attacked the captain with a crash axe in the flight deck, and tried to take control of the aircraft. WAM reported these details as the Attorney-General’s statement, not as an independently observed account. WAM report of the Attorney-General’s October 3 statement

This followed an October 1 order for a specialized Public Prosecution investigation into the facts, circumstances, and motives, including whether there was a terrorist purpose, prior planning, or direction. At that point, the Attorney-General urged the public not to reach conclusions before the inquiry was complete. Initial investigation order via WAM

Is a link to the October 7, 2023 attack established?
No. The reports cited here describe an online theory, while the latest cited official update says possible links and motive remain under investigation. That statement does not say the FZ1073 number was chosen to mark the anniversary or that the incident was connected to the 2023 attack. Route and timing are not proof of intent, coordination, or causation.
