For US buyers, standard color film listed by Polaroid on October 7, 2026, cost $18.99 per i-Type pack, $20.99 per 600 pack, and $21.99 per SX-70 pack. The right price depends on your camera: Polaroid film formats are not universally interchangeable. A cost per picture can be calculated only when the pack’s photo count is known; Polaroid states that an SX-70 pack contains eight photos, making its single-pack price about $2.75 per exposure before tax, shipping, or wasted frames.

How much does Polaroid film cost?

These are observed prices on Polaroid’s US direct-store pages on October 7, 2026, not a market-wide average or a guarantee of continuing price or stock. They are in US dollars; tax and shipping are not included.

Film format Standard listing Bundle example Compatibility and cost basis
Color i-Type $18.99 per pack Five-pack for $84.99, or about $17 per pack For compatible i-Type cameras. The pages reviewed did not establish the standard pack’s photo count, so a per-picture cost cannot be calculated from these figures alone. Polaroid film catalog; Polaroid film subscription
Color 600 $20.99 per pack Five-pack for $92.99, or about $18.60 per pack Made for vintage 600 cameras; Polaroid also says it works in i-Type cameras. The accessed product details did not establish a photo count for this calculation. Polaroid film catalog; Polaroid Color 600 Film
Color SX-70 $21.99 per pack Five-pack displayed at $94.99, about $19 per pack; the page showed it out of stock Eight photos per pack, so the standard pack is about $2.75 per exposure. The product details name SX-70 and I-2 compatibility. Polaroid Color SX-70 Film
Polaroid Go color Double pack listed at $21.99 Five bundles of double packs listed at $99.99 on the subscription page Uses its own Go film format. A double pack is not one pack or one photo; the accessed pages did not establish the photo count needed for a per-picture calculation. Polaroid film catalog; Polaroid film subscription

Prices and offers can change, and stock may be intermittent. Polaroid’s SX-70 page specifically displayed the five-pack as out of stock when checked. Bundle prices are examples from the listed offers, not a guarantee that a bundle is available when you buy.

Check the camera model or its manual before buying. Choosing the lowest listed pack price is not useful if the film does not fit or work with your camera.

  • Vintage 600 camera: Use 600 film, which Polaroid says is made specially for vintage 600 cameras. The compatibility information reviewed does not establish that i-Type film will power a vintage 600 camera, so do not assume compatibility works in both directions.
  • SX-70 camera: Use dedicated SX-70 film. Polaroid’s product details also name the I-2 as compatible with the listed SX-70 film.
  • Polaroid Go camera: Use Go film; it is a separate, smaller film family.

Polaroid’s film catalog lists the format families and their intended cameras. Confirm the exact model if you are unsure.

How much does each Polaroid picture cost?

For the listed SX-70 five-pack at $94.99, divide the bundle total by five packs and then by eight exposures per pack: $94.99 ÷ 5 ÷ 8 = approximately $2.37 per exposure. This calculation uses the total bundle price and stated pack capacity; availability was not assured because the page showed the offer out of stock.

Approximate monthly film spend = frames taken per month × cost per exposure

For example, if you know you take a certain number of frames in a month, multiply that number by the compatible film’s per-exposure figure. Add tax, shipping, and any discarded or failed frames only when you know those costs. There is no supported typical monthly or annual spending figure here; the total depends on how often you shoot and the price you actually pay.

Do bundles or a film subscription save money?

The observed multi-pack listings reduce the displayed price per pack compared with the listed single-pack price for i-Type and 600 film. For SX-70, the five-pack’s unit price is about $19 per pack versus $21.99 for one pack, but it was displayed out of stock. These are Polaroid US prices observed October 7, 2026, and do not establish that a bundle is cheaper than every retailer or that it will remain available.

Polaroid describes its subscription as recurring delivery at a selectable cadence of every 4, 8, or 12 weeks. Customers can skip a delivery or cancel at any time. The page lists i-Type five-packs at $84.99 and triple packs at $52.99, as well as Go double-pack x5 at $99.99. A subscription may make replenishment more convenient, but those terms and listings do not prove it is the lowest-cost option for every buyer.

What these prices do—and do not—include

The figures above cover film listings on Polaroid’s US site and arithmetic based on the stated SX-70 pack capacity. They do not include tax or shipping, nor do they establish street prices across retailers. They also do not estimate camera purchase price, repairs, accessories, battery costs, or lifetime ownership costs.
