As of October 3, 2026, the official records reviewed do not name a celebrity booked on a future spaceflight. Katy Perry, Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez have already flown: all three were passengers on Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission on April 14, 2025.

Are any celebrities confirmed for upcoming spaceflights?

No future celebrity passenger is named in the official flight and operator records reviewed through October 3, 2026. That is a time-bounded finding, not a guarantee that no announcement exists elsewhere or that a passenger will not be named later.

Virgin Galactic says its expeditions are fully booked and invites people to register for a Fall 2026 bookings release, but it does not identify celebrity passengers. A booking release is not a passenger announcement. The company’s booking page is useful for availability, not for confirming who will fly.

Nor does a flight target establish a celebrity booking. Space.com reported, based on Virgin Galactic’s Q2 2026 earnings call, that the company’s first new commercial flight had moved to a February 2027 target. That schedule context does not name passengers, and targets can change. Space.com’s report covers the schedule update.

Which celebrities have already gone to space?

Blue Origin NS-31: April 14, 2025

Katy Perry, broadcaster Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez were among the six passengers on Blue Origin’s NS-31 flight. The FAA lists the flight as completed on April 14, 2025. These are past passengers, not people confirmed for a future flight. The FAA recognition roster records the mission and its passengers.

Blue Origin’s NS-38 mission page describes NS-38 as the 38th New Shepard flight and gives context about the program. Its account of a completed mission and its past passengers does not establish a future celebrity manifest.

What counts as a spaceflight in these records?

The FAA’s commercial human-spaceflight recognition roster covers people who exceeded 50 statute miles on an FAA-licensed commercial launch or reentry. That is the FAA’s criterion for this roster, not a universal definition of where space begins. The roster is a record of qualifying flights, not a complete forward-looking booking list.

Human spaceflight also includes government astronaut missions, which are different from celebrity tourism. NASA identifies Crew-13 as an International Space Station crew rotation under its Commercial Crew Program; it is not a celebrity passenger list. See NASA’s Crew-13 mission page.

How to tell a confirmed passenger from a flight plan

  • Named passenger: An operator or authoritative flight record identifies the person on a specific mission.
  • Booking or registration: A company may sell or prepare access without publishing who will fly.
  • Schedule target: A projected date indicates planning, not a completed flight or confirmed celebrity passenger.
  • Completed flight: A dated flight record establishes that the trip happened; it does not mean the passengers are booked to fly again.

For updates, check operator announcements and the FAA roster. Virgin Galactic’s newsroom posts company updates, while NASA’s mission pages distinguish government crew rotations from commercial passenger flights.
