In Heartopia guides, Moonlight Crystals are associated with premium items in the Acorn Store and some premium systems, while Wishing Stars are associated with special purchases such as furniture and clothing. The currencies serve different purchase systems, but the exact items and rules available now should be checked in the game.
What Moonlight Crystals are used for
The unofficial Heartopia.guide currency guide describes Moonlight Crystals as a currency for premium items in the Acorn Store and some premium systems. It does not establish a complete list of current items, prices, or how to obtain the currency.
A separate unofficial guide recommends using Moonlight Crystals for inventory expansion and quality-of-life upgrades before gacha banners. That is the guide’s spending advice, not a verified rule or a universally best choice. Check the live shop and the value of the specific item before spending.
What Wishing Stars are used for
Heartopia.guide describes Wishing Stars as currency for special purchases, often furniture and clothing. A second unofficial guide also lists hairstyles and recipes among possible purchases. Neither source provides a dependable, current item-by-item catalog or prices, so these examples should not be treated as a guarantee that a particular item is available in your game.
How the two currencies differ
| Currency | Uses described by unofficial guides | Current catalog and prices |
|---|---|---|
| Moonlight Crystals | Premium items in the Acorn Store and some premium systems | Not established by the available guides |
| Wishing Stars | Special purchases, including furniture and clothing; another guide also names hairstyles and recipes | Not established by the available guides |
The practical distinction is the purchase category guides associate with each currency; the available information does not establish that either currency can substitute for the other.

Are Wishing Stars limited to events or do they expire?
One unofficial guide claims Wishing Stars appear only during seasonal festivals and expire when each event ends. No official source in the available material confirms that rule, so whether Stars expire or carry over is unverified. Check the event screen or currency details in your current game before relying on a deadline.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is not confirmed
- A current complete list of items available for either currency.
- Current prices or earning methods for either currency.
- Official confirmation of Wishing Star event restrictions, expiration, or carryover.
Because the descriptions come from unofficial guides rather than an official Heartopia source, use them as a high-level orientation and rely on the in-game store and event screens for current availability and rules.
