A crypto wallet signs transaction data that authorizes a blockchain action—not a phone number, chat message, or the act of finding a recipient. In DARCA’s described flow, the user reviews the recipient, asset, network, amount, and fee, confirms with a PIN or biometric, and then the transaction is signed and submitted. DARCA’s public pages disagree about where that signing happens, so the deployed signing location is not established by the available documentation.
What does a crypto wallet actually sign?
A wallet uses a private key to create a digital signature authorizing transaction data. In a typical crypto transfer, that data specifies what the network needs to process the transfer, including its destination and asset-specific details. The signature proves authorization under the relevant key; it does not make an incorrect destination correct or guarantee the transfer can be reversed.
DARCA’s article describes a flow in which a user checks the proposed recipient, asset, network, amount, and network fee before confirming. The confirmation is followed by signing and submission to the relevant blockchain. This is DARCA’s account of its intended flow, not independent verification of how every deployed transaction is processed. DARCA’s transaction-flow article
How recipient discovery differs from authorization
DARCA describes finding a recipient through a phone number, chat, Bluetooth discovery, QR code, or direct address entry. Those methods can help identify or select a recipient; they are not themselves the blockchain authorization. The transfer still needs a destination and a valid transaction approval.

DARCA’s nearby-recipient article specifically describes Bluetooth as a discovery mechanism, not a means of transferring cryptocurrency or private-key material. A nearby device or a contact name should therefore not be mistaken for proof that the final blockchain destination is correct. DARCA’s explanation of nearby recipient selection
What to check before confirming
The review screen is the user’s last meaningful opportunity in this flow to catch a wrong destination or network before authorization. DARCA says the review includes these details:

- Smart backup: Use your second Tangem Wallet as your Backup keys with end‑to‑end encryption; no more papers, pictures. If one card is lost, the remaining can still restore full access, with an optional seed phrase available for advanced users.
- Engineered to last up to 25 years: Waterproof (IP69K), shockproof and tested for extreme temperatures from −25°C to 50°C. A durable cold wallet with long‑term protection and independently audited security.
- Trusted by 6 million users worldwide - buy, sell, swap, stake, and spend cryptocurrency directly. The secure offline storage wallet designed for how people actually use crypto wallets
- Recipient: Check the destination presented for the transfer, not only the contact or discovery method used to select it.
- Asset: Confirm which cryptocurrency or token is being sent.
- Network: Verify that the selected network matches the recipient’s intended destination. A matching asset name alone does not establish that two networks are interchangeable.
- Amount: Check the amount being sent.
- Network fee: Review the fee shown for the transaction before approving it.
DARCA’s Core documentation says external-transfer terms are shown before confirmation and that critical actions require user confirmation. It also says support can assist but does not execute transactions on the user’s behalf. DARCA Core documentation
Which networks and assets does DARCA describe?
DARCA’s MVP description names USDT (TRC-20), TRX, USDT (BEP-20), and BNB among the assets in its described MVP, and says external crypto transactions run on supported networks. This is a description of that MVP, not a guarantee that every listed option is currently available to every user. Access to features may depend on region and verification status. Where does DARCA say signing happens?
DARCA’s transaction-flow article says the transaction is signed on the device after the owner confirms it. But DARCA’s official payment-architecture page describes an external execution engine that creates, signs, and submits transactions. Those descriptions do not establish a single, reconciled signing architecture.
As a result, the public material cited here does not settle whether every deployed DARCA transaction is signed locally or by an external execution engine. That distinction matters when assessing custody and the security boundary: a statement that a wallet signs locally should be supported by an implementation specification or independent technical assessment, rather than inferred from a user-facing flow description. What DARCA says its encrypted backup protects
DARCA’s article says a data-encryption key (DEK) protects the seed phrase and other private data, with Argon2id used for key derivation and AES-256-GCM for encryption. It further says decryption happens locally and the server does not receive the plaintext DEK, decrypted backup, private keys, or seed phrase. These are DARCA’s product claims; the cited material does not provide an independent audit establishing them.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsEven if a wallet signs locally, that alone does not remove risks from phishing, malware, a compromised device, exposed recovery material, or mistaken transaction details. Signing location is one security boundary to examine, not a complete security assessment.

How to evaluate the transaction flow
When assessing DARCA’s documented flow, separate what the user can inspect from what the technical documentation establishes:
Quick Recap
- Recipient discovery: Determine how a person or address is selected, and verify that the final destination is visible before approval.
- Pre-signing review: Check whether the recipient, asset, network, amount, and fee are displayed clearly before confirmation.
- Authorization: Identify what PIN, biometric, or other confirmation means in the product flow; confirmation should not be confused with proof of where the private key is held.
- Signing and submission: Look for a technical account of which component signs, where key material is accessible, and how the signed transaction reaches the network.
- Evidence level: Distinguish product documentation from an independent security assessment. DARCA’s cited pages describe its design and claimed behavior; they do not independently verify the implementation.
