The Westinghouse WHI644BA is a 60 cm, four-zone induction cooktop with a 7.4 kW hardwired connection. Its published features include touch controls, Pause, Keep Warm, a countdown timer and safety indicators. The key buying checks are whether its 560 × 490 mm cut-out fits your bench and whether your electrical installation suits the load. CHOICE marks the model discontinued, and its public listing does not reveal the detailed test scores needed to judge cooking performance independently.
What is the Westinghouse WHI644BA?
Westinghouse describes the WHI644BA as a four-zone induction cooktop with a black ceramic-glass surface. It is designed for a 60 cm installation and carries a two-year domestic warranty according to the Westinghouse product page.
The published specifications establish the layout and functions, but they are not independent findings about cooking speed, temperature control, durability or ease of cleaning. Westinghouse advertises product benefits; those claims should not be treated as verified comparative performance.

- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
The listed connection is hardwired, and the connected load is 7.4 kW. Ask a qualified electrician to assess whether the electrical supply and installation at your home are suitable. The specifications alone cannot determine site-specific wiring requirements or installation cost.

- 【CHECK YOUR PAN FIRST — MAGNET TEST + FLAT BASE 4 –10 IN】Works only with magnetic, flat-bottom cookware: cast iron, magnetic 430 stainless steel, or enameled iron. Fridge-magnet test on the flat bottom: clings = works; slides = no heat. Not for aluminum, copper, glass, ceramic, or non-magnetic 304 stainless steel. Measure the flat magnetic base, not the rim: 4 –10 in (10–26 cm). Round-bottom/warped pans or small magnetic dots won’t work. “E0” = pan mismatch, not a defect.
