The Westinghouse WHI643BC is a 60cm, four-zone induction cooktop with a listed 6.5kW connected load. Its listed size and features make it possible to assess fit and functionality, but the available sources do not establish hands-on performance, a test score or a current general retail price. This is therefore a specification-led review, not a tested performance verdict.
Will the WHI643BC fit your benchtop?
Westinghouse lists the black ceramic-glass cooktop at 590mm wide, 520mm deep and 46mm high. Its specified benchtop cutout is 560mm wide by 490mm deep. CHOICE lists the same measurements, expressed in centimetres. See the Westinghouse product page and Westinghouse Australia specifications.
These figures are a starting point, not a substitute for checking the installation manual and the conditions at your location. Before purchase or installation, confirm the cutout, clearances and electrical requirements with the manual and a qualified installer. The listed connection is hardwired, and the rated connected load is 6.5kW.

What are the cooking zones and power ratings?
Westinghouse specifies four induction zones. Their listed diameters and power ratings are:

CHOICE describes the left-rear and right-front positions as simmer zones, the right-rear as medium, and the left-front as large. These labels indicate the intended layout; they are not independent measurements of cooking speed or capacity.
Which controls and functions does it list?
The WHI643BC has touch controls at the front right. Listed functions include PowerBoost, Pause, QuickCook Timer, keep-warm, child lock, residual-heat and hot-surface indicators, a fault indicator and safety cut-off. The timer is listed with countdown and programming up to 99 minutes.

Westinghouse describes PowerBoost as a way to bring water to a boil or heat a pan quickly. That is a feature description, not a measured performance result. The available evidence does not establish how quickly the cooktop heats in real kitchens.
Does Hob2Hood work with any rangehood?
No universal compatibility is established. Westinghouse says compatible rangehoods can switch on and adjust fan speed and airflow as cooking begins. If you want to use this feature, check the exact rangehood model and its installation requirements before buying; do not assume an existing or prospective hood supports Hob2Hood.

What do the review evidence and price tell you?
CHOICE has a product listing for the WHI643BC, but the accessible listing does not disclose substantive test findings or an overall score. It is not enough to claim the cooktop has been independently tested to a particular standard or ranked against competitors. Its WHI643BC listing displays a $1,599 members-only price field; that does not establish a current general retail price or availability. Check local retailers for current pricing and stock.

Westinghouse lists a two-year domestic warranty. The Australian fact sheet says the stated warranty applies to appliances purchased and used in Australia or New Zealand in normal domestic applications, subject to the warranty-card conditions; it also notes that non-excludable statutory warranties are not excluded. Check the applicable warranty terms for your location rather than assuming this description applies elsewhere.

Who should consider the WHI643BC?
It is worth shortlisting if you need a 60cm four-zone induction cooktop, the stated cutout and hardwired electrical requirements suit your installation, and its front-right touch controls and listed functions match your preferences. The specifications alone cannot establish cooking performance or value versus alternatives. Compare competing models on fit, zone sizes and ratings, control layout, electrical requirements, rangehood compatibility, warranty terms and current local price.
