The Westinghouse WHI633BC is a 60 cm, three-zone built-in induction cooktop whose standout on-paper feature is a 280 mm, 3,600 W right-front MaxiZone. It also offers PowerBoost, pause, keep-warm and touch controls. Its fit and hardwired electrical requirements need checking before purchase, and the public evidence does not establish how well it performs in independent cooking tests.
What the WHI633BC offers
Westinghouse lists the WHI633BC as a black ceramic-glass cooktop with three induction zones, pot sensing, touch controls, a programmable 99-minute timer, child lock, safety cut-off and residual-heat indicators. Listed functions include MaxiZone, PowerBoost, pause, keep-warm and Hob2Hood. The manufacturer specifies a two-year warranty and a 6.5 kW connected load. These are manufacturer-listed values, not independent measurements. The large right-front zone is the model’s main differentiator on paper; its diameter does not guarantee that every pan with the same nominal size will heat evenly.
Does it perform well?
Publicly accessible evidence does not settle the WHI633BC’s boiling speed, low-heat control, efficiency or performance with large pans. Westinghouse’s Australian product page displayed 4.8 from 129 reviews when accessed in 2026. That is a vendor-hosted rating snapshot, not a laboratory score, and the figure can change.

ProductReview.com.au displayed 2.2 from three reviews in 2026. The few reports conflict: one owner praised speed and appearance but described an installation dispute and customer-service frustration; other owners questioned the large zone’s performance, while one said the other two zones worked well. These accounts are individual experiences, not controlled tests or a reliable estimate of how all units perform. Read the owner reviews with that limitation in mind.
CHOICE lists the model as discontinued and says it was tested in 2023 or earlier. Its public listing does not reveal the expert rating, pros and cons, or detailed scores; those require membership. Will it fit your kitchen?
The listed cooktop dimensions are 590 W × 520 D × 46 H mm, and the cutout is 560 × 490 mm. Measure the actual benchtop opening and check the full manual and dimension drawing for clearance, cabinetry and ventilation conditions. A matching nominal cutout alone does not establish that installation is suitable.
The WHI633BC is hardwired, with a listed connected load of 6.5 kW. The manual reproduction says electrical connections must be made by a qualified electrician. Have a qualified local professional confirm circuit capacity and applicable installation requirements rather than assuming the existing connection is adequate. Cookware and safety points
Induction requires suitable induction cookware. Check your pans’ compatibility and usable base diameter against the zones; published zone diameters alone do not establish how evenly a particular pan will heat. The manual states: “Users with a pacemaker must keep a distance of minimum 30 cm from the induction cooking zones when the appliance is in operation.” Follow the manual’s safety guidance and consult an appropriate medical professional if you need advice about your circumstances.
