These are Westinghouse product specifications; the accessible fact sheet does not show an issue date. Westinghouse’s WHC943BD product information is the reference point for dimensions, controls and features.
Zone layout and controls
The left-front element is a 2,300 W triple zone with a nominal 210 mm diameter. The remaining elements are single zones: 1,200 W at left rear (140 mm), 1,800 W at right front (180 mm), and 1,200 W at right rear (140 mm). Westinghouse describes the triple zone as variable, making that position adaptable to cookware of different diameters; the other three are fixed single ceramic elements.
The cooktop uses touch-on-glass controls. Its listed convenience and safety features are a 99-minute programmable countdown timer, keep-warm function, Pause, child lock, safety cut-off, fault indicator and residual-heat warning lamps. The timer is described by Westinghouse as switching off the heat when the selected cooking time ends. Pause and the timer may help with control, but neither is evidence of better cooking performance.

Hob2Hood depends on compatible equipment
Westinghouse says compatible rangehoods can switch on and adjust fan speed or airflow in response to cooking. The feature is not a promise of compatibility with every rangehood: check that a hood is compatible before treating automatic control as part of the setup. Westinghouse’s fact sheet says, “With Hob2Hood technology, compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam.” This is the manufacturer’s feature claim, not an independent test result.
Check the cutout and electrical connection before purchase
The glass top measures 900 × 520 mm, while the specified bench opening is 880 × 490 mm. Compare the cutout dimensions with the existing opening and installation manual, and allow for the full cooktop dimensions when checking the surrounding bench and cabinetry. Do not assume a previous cooktop’s opening will fit.

The WHC943BD is listed as hardwired with a 6.5 kW connected load. A retailer also states that a qualified electrician must hardwire it.
