The October 3 hardware roundup is led by an unusually fast AOC gaming monitor that is reported for Europe in Q1 2027, not available to buy yet, and a leaked Intel Nova Lake desktop CPU table that Intel has not confirmed. Elsewhere, NVIDIA has announced October plans for RTX Spark PCs, Microsoft says precompiled shaders are available for Gears of War: E-Day, and Razer has announced an 8,000Hz compact keyboard. Here is what is known—and what remains unverified.

What is reported about AOC’s 1,000Hz Agon Pro monitor?

PC Tech Vault’s October 3 archive describes the AOC Agon Pro AGP257FT as a 1080p monitor with a 1,000Hz native refresh rate and a 1,050Hz overclocked mode. The archive gives Europe Q1 2027 as its reported launch window and says no price has been announced. The linked full article was unavailable, so these details should be treated as archive-level reporting, not a complete product specification. (PC Tech Vault archive)

The figures are not enough to judge how the monitor will perform in practice. The accessible report does not establish panel type, response-time test method, adaptive-sync support, connectors, or availability outside Europe. A very high refresh rate alone also does not establish a visible benefit for every player; comparisons will depend on those missing details and the price when announced.

What does the Intel Nova Lake leak actually say?

The same archive summarizes a table attributed to a Chiphell user that reportedly lists seven desktop Nova Lake CPUs. It says three entries have an additional cache designation, including one model listed at 65W. This is a leak, not an Intel announcement or confirmed retail lineup, and the linked full story was unavailable. (PC Tech Vault archive)

What else is changing in PC hardware and gaming?

NVIDIA’s RTX Spark PCs are expected in October

NVIDIA’s September 3 announcement said RTX Spark Windows PCs were expected in October 2026. NVIDIA described configurations with up to 128GB of unified memory, a 20-core Grace CPU, and 1 petaflop of RTX Blackwell GPU performance. These are announced platform figures, not independent benchmark results; the announcement does not establish how a retail system will perform in a particular workload. Microsoft says Advanced Shader Delivery is available for Gears of War: E-Day

Microsoft’s DirectX blog, dated October 1, says Advanced Shader Delivery is available for Gears of War: E-Day and is coming across Windows 11. The feature delivers precompiled shaders with the game download, which Microsoft says reduces shader work by the CPU at first launch. The goal is to address long initial loads and shader-related stutter; the announcement is not a guarantee of a particular improvement on every PC. (Microsoft DirectX blog)

Razer reports an 8,000Hz 60% keyboard

PC Tech Vault’s October 2 report names the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, a 60% keyboard with 8,000Hz polling and adjustable actuation. It cites Razer’s own comparison of 0.48ms average latency against 0.65ms for an unnamed competing keyboard. The competitors were not identified, and the comparison was not independently verified, so it should not be read as a general latency result. The report did not provide a price or availability date. A tiny BiWin SSD is listed, but key details are missing

Tom’s Hardware’s archive lists the BiWin CL 100 Mini as a 15 × 17 mm SSD with capacity up to 2TB, positioned for portable gaming. The accessible archive material does not establish its interface, compatibility with a specific handheld, or retail availability, so the headline dimensions and capacity alone are not enough to assess whether it will work in a particular device.
