Publishing a fix and confirming it worked are two different steps. In a follow-up audit, Nova Solutions says it found two important product pages among 34 sitemap-listed URLs that Search Console had discovered but not yet crawled. The account also describes why checking only a redirect’s first response—or relying on an older report—can miss what is happening now.
What the follow-up audit found
In an article published September 5, 2026, Landon Little describes revisiting Nova Solutions’ indexing data and inspecting live URLs. The findings below are the publisher’s account; the reported counts and technical observations have not been independently verified.
A redirect ended at a missing page
The earlier redirect fix had left an older redirect pattern in place. The first request returned HTTP 308, but following that redirect led to a destination returning 404. Looking at the first response alone made the route appear healthy; following the chain exposed the broken destination.
A canonical used a different domain version
One page’s canonical URL used the bare domain, while the site’s other pages and redirect rules used the www address. Little reports that the live canonical tag had been corrected by the time the team checked it, even though Search Console still showed a status associated with the earlier crawl.

Thirty-four pages had not yet been crawled
Nova Solutions reported that 34 sitemap-listed pages had been discovered but not yet crawled as of its check. Two were roofing and restaurant product pages that the company considered important; it said both were live, linked internally, and included in the sitemap. The count describes that site and that check, not a general benchmark.
Little attributes the backlog to a site-level authority and crawl-allocation constraint, but the article does not provide independent evidence for that cause. It should be read as the author’s explanation of this case, not a rule that explains crawl delays on every site.

How to verify that a fix is working now
The account’s practical lesson is to test current behavior directly after making a change. A report records what was observed at a particular point; it is not by itself proof that the live URL now behaves as intended.

Request the original URL and continue through each redirect to the final destination. Check that the destination returns the expected page, rather than stopping after a successful-looking first response.
- For a canonical fix, inspect the live page. Check the canonical tag currently served by the URL and confirm it uses the intended domain version. Do not assume that an older Search Console status reflects the tag as it exists now.
- Review the report alongside the live check. Nova Solutions says it used Search Console to review reports and live inspection to check current behavior. Treat these as complementary views: the report supplies crawl history, while the live check tests what is being served at inspection time.
What this account does—and does not—show
The case illustrates three useful distinctions: the first redirect response versus the final destination, a historic report state versus current live behavior, and publishing a fix versus verifying it. It does not establish that the changes improved rankings. Little says there had not been enough time to isolate their effects, so no ranking result should be inferred from the audit.
