To watch Israeli TV abroad, start with a service that is designed to serve viewers outside Israel. Screen iL says it offers live Israeli channels and on-demand programming overseas, while Keshet’s 12+ service makes available abroad only programs for which it has overseas rights. Neither service promises that every channel or show is available in every country or plan. A VPN may change the IP address a streaming service sees, but it is not a guaranteed way to unlock a channel.
Choose a service based on the channel or show you want
Before subscribing or troubleshooting, check whether the specific channel or program is available where you live. “Israeli TV” can mean a live channel feed, a particular episode, catch-up viewing, or a sports match; those can have different rights and availability.

Screen iL: an overseas-focused option
Screen iL describes its service as being for viewers outside Israel. Its stated channel lineup includes Kan 11, Keshet 12, Reshet 13, Channel 14, i24 News, ILTV and the Knesset Channel, among others. It also lists catch-up, sports, films, documentaries, children’s content and video on demand.

Screen iL says live content can be caught up for up to seven days. That is a service claim, not a guarantee that every program or match will remain available for that period. Its app listing cautions that availability depends on territory, subscription plan and programming rights, so confirm the current offer for your country before paying.

Keshet 12+: overseas access is limited to rights-cleared programs
Keshet’s 12+ support information says that programs with overseas broadcast rights can be watched abroad with a subscription. It also explains that some shows will not appear because Keshet does not hold a streaming license for every title. A 12+ subscription therefore does not mean that the entire Israeli catalog travels with you.

Look up the exact show in 12+ from your location before relying on it for a particular episode or live viewing. The support information describing subscriptions and devices is dated 2022, so details may have changed.
What a VPN can—and cannot—do
A VPN sends internet traffic through another network endpoint. If that endpoint is in Israel, a streaming service may see an IP address associated with Israel rather than the viewer’s usual location. That possibility does not establish that any particular Israeli broadcaster will accept the connection or play a given stream.

- It does not change program rights. A show may remain unavailable because the service lacks rights to stream it abroad.
- It does not guarantee access. Services can use location checks beyond a simple IP lookup or block connections they identify as VPN traffic.
- It may conflict with rules. Check the streaming service’s terms and the law that applies where you are. Whether bypassing a geographic limit violates a contract or law depends on the circumstances and jurisdiction.
Promotional VPN claims are not proof of current compatibility with Kan 11, 12+, Reshet 13 or another service. No named provider or success rate is established here, so do not treat a VPN as a reliable substitute for an overseas service with rights to the content you want.

Use the service’s own app or web player when available, and check the app store for your country and exact device. Screen iL lists phones, tablets, smart TVs and online viewing among its supported ways to watch. Keshet’s support information lists browser access, phones, tablets, Android TV and Apple TV, along with smart-TV categories. Those listings do not establish that every app is available in every country or that every device supports every overseas-rights title.

- Identify the content. Note the channel, program, episode or match you want, and whether you need live viewing or catch-up.
- Check the service’s availability in your country. For Screen iL, review the current channel lineup and package; for 12+, check whether the particular program is offered abroad.
- Confirm the device. Search the relevant app store on the device you intend to use, or check whether the service’s web player works in your browser.
- Verify the plan and viewing window. Confirm subscription requirements, catch-up duration and any limits that apply to the particular title.
- Test before an important broadcast. Sign in and confirm playback in advance rather than assuming a listing guarantees a working stream at airtime.
Troubleshoot a “content not available” message or location error
If the title is missing
First check whether the service offers that specific program abroad. For 12+, the likely explanation may be that the program does not have an overseas streaming license. For Screen iL, availability can differ by territory, plan and rights. A VPN cannot create a streaming license that the service does not have.

Keshet’s help page advises checking the IP address’s assigned location and contacting your internet service provider if an address is incorrectly identified as being abroad. IP geolocation can explain a mistaken location message, but it does not show that a VPN will work with a stream.
If the app is unavailable on your device
Check the service’s web player or another device you already own, and verify regional app-store availability. Device support can differ by service and country; a device category listed in support information is not a guarantee that the app can be installed in your territory.
