As of Pittsburgh’s September 28, 2026 opening-roster announcement, Gabriel D’Aigle was designated Injured Non-Roster—not listed as assigned to the AHL. The NHL’s September 29 season-opening roster likewise categorized him as injured and/or non-roster. Those official roster records do not confirm an assignment to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
What Pittsburgh’s roster announcement says
The Penguins announced their 2026-27 roster on September 28 and listed goaltenders Sergei Murashov and Arturs Silovs on the 22-player active roster. The team listed D’Aigle separately as Injured Non-Roster. It did not identify an AHL destination, describe his injury, or give a return date. A player’s absence from an NHL club’s active roster does not, by itself, establish where he has been assigned. In D’Aigle’s case, the cited official records give an injured/non-roster designation, but do not say he was assigned or loaned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The designation also does not establish the nature or severity of an injury, how long he may be unavailable, or what his next destination will be.
