Reports say Giulia’s assisted walk to the back after her October 2, 2026, SmackDown match with Blake Monroe was planned—not evidence of a confirmed real-life injury. Fightful Select reporter Corey Brennan said both the match finish and the officials helping Giulia backstage were listed in the show’s rundown. WWE has not issued a medical diagnosis in the sources available.
What happened to Giulia on SmackDown?
Giulia faced Blake Monroe on the October 2, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown. Viewers saw what appeared to be a head impact at the turnbuckle, after which Monroe covered Giulia for the win. Officials then helped Giulia away from ringside, prompting concern that she might have been hurt.
The first account, published that night, said her condition was unknown and that WWE had not provided a statement, diagnosis, or recovery timetable at that point. That early uncertainty is not the latest information about the segment’s status.
Why reports say the assisted exit was planned
In follow-up reporting, SEScoops relayed a statement from Fightful Select reporter Corey Brennan: “The finish for Giulia vs Blake Monroe, as well as Giulia being helped to the back post match, was all listed in the rundown for tonight’s show.” Khel Now also reported the rundown attribution.

A show rundown is evidence that the finish and assisted exit were planned as part of the program. It does not establish Giulia’s medical condition, and the report is not a WWE medical statement. Accordingly, the footage should not be treated as confirmation that she sustained a concussion or another legitimate injury.
What else was reportedly planned?
The same follow-up reporting said a further backstage segment involving Giulia and Monroe was listed in the rundown but did not air. Its content has not been established, so it should not be treated as proof of what happened to Giulia backstage.

How this fits the Giulia–Blake Monroe rivalry
WWE’s official preview had framed the match as part of an ongoing rivalry: Monroe had attacked Giulia ahead of an earlier scheduled contest, and Giulia retaliated backstage before the rescheduled match. That context helps explain why a dramatic post-match angle could be part of the storyline.
