Wenn in der Finder-Seitenleiste App-Symbole statt der erwarteten Ordner auftauchen, prüfen Sie zuerst, ob der Eintrag ein eigener Favorit ist, ein Standardort ausgeblendet wurde oder eine Synchronisierungs-App ein eigenes Symbol für ihren Ordner anzeigt. Diese Fälle sehen ähnlich aus, erfordern aber unterschiedliche Schritte.
1. Prüfen, ob der Eintrag ein eigener Favorit ist
Ein Eintrag unter „Favoriten“ kann eine Datei, ein Ordner oder eine App sein. Die Markierungen in den Finder-Einstellungen verwalten solche selbst hinzugefügten Favoriten nicht.

Öffnen Sie den Finder und wählen Sie „Ablage“ > „Einstellungen“ > „Seitenleiste“.

Wenn der unerwünschte Eintrag unter „Favoriten“ erscheint, ziehen Sie ihn aus der Seitenleiste. Das entfernt den Favoriten, nicht die App oder den Ordner selbst.

2. Standardorte wieder einblenden
Einträge wie „Downloads“ oder „Dokumente“ sind Standardorte. Wenn einer davon fehlt, aktivieren Sie ihn unter „Finder“ > „Ablage“ > „Einstellungen“ > „Seitenleiste“, indem Sie das Kästchen neben dem gewünschten Ort markieren. Diese Einstellung betrifft Standardorte und setzt eigene Favoriten nicht zurück.

3. Prüfen, ob ein Seitenleistenbereich eingeklappt ist
Wenn eine ganze Gruppe wie „Favoriten“ oder „Orte“ leer wirkt, bewegen Sie den Zeiger auf ihren Namen. Klicken Sie auf den daneben eingeblendeten Pfeil, um die Elemente ein- oder auszublenden. Ein eingeklappter Bereich verbirgt Einträge, löscht sie aber nicht.
4. Bei einem Synchronisierungsordner das Symbol einordnen
Ein App-artiges Symbol ist nicht automatisch ein Finder-Fehler. Apples archivierte Entwicklerdokumentation beschreibt Finder-Sync-Erweiterungen, die für überwachte Stammordner ein eigenes Seitenleistensymbol bereitstellen können, wenn der Nutzer den Ordner in die Seitenleiste zieht. Das Symbol kann dann das Standardsymbol des Ordners ersetzen.

5. Wenn das Symbol danach weiterhin falsch wirkt
Die genannten Apple-Anleitungen belegen keine allgemeine Reparatur für beschädigte Symbol-Caches oder einen universellen Reset. Löschen Sie daher nicht auf Verdacht Systemdateien und führen Sie keine Terminal-Befehle aus, die Sie nicht gezielt für Ihre macOS-Version und den betroffenen Dienst verifiziert haben.

Notieren Sie Ihre macOS-Version und welche Einträge betroffen sind.

Prüfen Sie, ob eine installierte Synchronisierungs-App den betreffenden Ordner verwaltet und ob ihre aktuelle Dokumentation die Symbolanzeige erklärt.
