Best starting point: build around a controllable SMG such as the PP-19 Vityaz, then make room for the revive tool and healing supplies you can afford. The Medic role in WARDOGS is equipment-driven rather than a fixed class: any player can revive, while specialist tools and added healing capacity let a Medic support teammates more effectively. Check the current vendor and loadout screen before committing, because prices, unlocks, slots, and balance may change between builds.
What makes a strong Medic loadout?
A Medic needs to reach teammates and help them recover without being so costly or overloaded that the kit is difficult to replace. Start with the support items you can actually use, then select a weapon, protection, and ammunition that fit the fights you expect and your budget.
- Revive and healing: take the revive tool available to you and enough healing supplies to sustain teammates.
- Weapon: prioritize control and practical range over a ranking that may change with balance updates.
- Capacity and cost: medical tools, magazines, armor, and specialist utility compete for loadout room and money. Prefer a kit you can afford to lose and rebuy.
- Current-build check: verify prices, unlocks, ammunition compatibility, and equipment behavior in the live client.
Choose a loadout for your progression
Early or budget setup
Use the AMP-9 starter SMG if it leaves room in your budget for support items and protection. A Medic progression guide lists the AMP-9 at level 0 and the PP-19 Vityaz at level 4. A separate third-party guide lists the PP-19 at $1,200; treat that as a snapshot, not a guaranteed current price, and check the vendor in your build.

Core support equipment
Carry the revive tool you have unlocked alongside healing supplies. PC Gamer reports that the vendor offers a single-use quick-revive tool per life, and that defibrillators unlock at Medic level 11. Defibrillators speed up revives, according to the report, but compete with another specialist tool for loadout capacity. Confirm availability and slot requirements in the current client.
Later progression
A Medic guide lists a combined Medical Bag at level 24 and the Super-45 at level 35. Another article also reports a combined revive-and-heal bag at level 24. These are third-party guide claims, not an official live unlock table; verify levels and item names in-game before planning around them.
PP-19 Vityaz or Super-45?
The PP-19 Vityaz is recommended in a third-party guide for its controllability and practical range. The Super-45 is described there as faster on paper, but it unlocks later according to the Medic progression guide. That does not establish a permanent best weapon: compare control, range, magazine fit, compatible ammunition, purchase cost, and replacement cost against the encounters you expect.
How to play the Medic kit
- Stay within reach of the squad. Keep close enough to help a downed teammate, but do not cross exposed ground without cover just to attempt a revive.
- Choose the revive option for the situation. Since reviving is not exclusive to the Medic, the benefit is faster recovery and additional healing capacity. Use a faster tool when its speed and cost make sense in the moment.
- Use cover during a recovery. PC Gamer’s writer reports that dragging a body to safety and using smoke cover can matter during a revive. This is reported play experience, not a guaranteed tactic or outcome.
- Leave room for useful supplies. Do not fill capacity with specialist utility or spare ammunition you cannot use if it displaces the revive and healing items central to your role.
What the available figures do—and do not—show
PC Gamer reported WARDOGS official first-weekend statistics of 123 million kills and 61 million revives on September 18, 2026, characterizing the overall resurrection rate as near 50%. That launch-weekend aggregate is not a current rate and does not measure Medic-specific performance.
On September 25, 2026, PC Gamer staff writer Morgan Park reported having recorded 177,619 Medic XP at level 17 and that level 24 required 337,000 XP. Those figures describe one writer’s progression, not an official universal progression table.
