Waltz and Jam launches on December 3, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The Steam page still lists the PC version as coming soon and offers wishlisting. No price, exact launch time, or regional availability has been stated yet, and December 3 is the announced date rather than a guaranteed one.
Release date and platforms
Flyway Games announced the date together with the console versions. The announcement names three platforms, and no others.

What the game is
Waltz wakes up with no memory in Downtown, an afterlife he has to get through. To reach the Gate of Judgement he must collect seven stamps. A guide named Low helps him along the way. His companion is Jam, a loyal spirit puppy who can change shape. The seven worlds are handcrafted and inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins, which Steam describes as a reimagining rather than a faithful retelling.

The genre is described slightly differently by each source. Flyway calls it a top-down puzzle action-adventure. Steam files it as an action-adventure platformer, with tags including casual, exploration, puzzle-platformer, and 3D-platformer. Until the game is out, the camera style and how much of the game is platforming are best treated as open questions.
How it plays
The core loop combines exploration, environmental puzzles, and combat. According to the announcement, the game includes:

Jam can take on different forms to get past obstacles. Two are named in the announcement. As a Water Ball, Jam crosses gaps. As a Trampoline, Jam reaches higher places.

Waltz uses toys left behind by legendary craftsmen to open paths and deal with enemies. The announcement does not list the individual toys.

The seven realms
Each realm brings new environments, mechanics, enemies, and bosses. The settings described so far include chaotic restaurants, castles tangled in light and shadow, and deserts that stretch like seas.
Controller support on PC
The Steam page states: “The developers recommend playing this game with a controller.” The listing shows full controller support, including Xbox controllers, DualShock controllers, and DualSense controllers. The PlayStation controller entries specify USB-only support.
