Wallbridge Mining Company Limited shareholders approved the proposed change to Sunday Lake Gold Corp. and a share consolidation at a September 29, 2026 special meeting. The votes settle the shareholder-approval question, but the company’s releases do not establish that regulatory steps are complete or when either change will take effect. Separately, Wallbridge says its Fenelon pre-feasibility study (PFS) is underway and targets completion in late 2027 or early 2028.
What shareholders approved
Wallbridge reported that shareholders approved every matter put to a vote at the September 29 special meeting. The name-change resolution received 958,692,422 votes in favour (98.667%) and 12,947,287 against (1.333%). The share-consolidation resolution received 955,202,010 votes in favour (98.308%) and 16,437,698 against (1.692%). A total of 971,639,709 shares—53.070% of outstanding shares—were represented. Wallbridge’s September 29 meeting-results release reports the tally.
What the proposed changes mean
The proposed new name is Sunday Lake Gold Corp. The proposed consolidation would combine up to 20 pre-consolidation shares into one post-consolidation share. The August meeting notice said both measures were subject to shareholder and applicable regulatory approval. Shareholders have now approved them, but the releases reviewed do not state the final consolidation ratio, an effective date, or completion of the regulatory and corporate implementation steps. Approval should therefore not be treated as confirmation that the company has already changed its legal name or consolidated its shares.
What Wallbridge is doing for the Fenelon PFS
A PFS assesses the technical and economic case for developing a project in greater detail than a preliminary economic assessment (PEA). Wallbridge reported on September 2 that Fenelon’s study was underway, with completion expected in late 2027 or early 2028. That is a company forecast, not a guaranteed deadline. The work spans three connected areas:

- Metallurgical characterization: testing how gold recovery may vary across parts of the deposit considered for underground mining in the March 2025 PEA.
- Infill drilling: adding data intended to convert Inferred mineral resources to Indicated classification for the PFS mine plan and to support a maiden mineral reserve estimate.
- Engineering and trade-off studies: evaluating technical choices needed to develop the study and its mine plan.
Metallurgical sampling and tests
Wallbridge said its 2026 metallurgical campaign completed seven dedicated diamond drill holes totalling 3,144 metres. It reported delivering 820 kilograms of mineralized material to Base Metallurgical Laboratories: 635 kilograms averaging 5.00 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from areas in the PEA mine plan, plus 185 kilograms averaging 6.92 g/t from peripheral intervals. These are company-reported sample figures, not recovery results, a reserve estimate, or proof of project economics.
The test program compares three processing approaches: whole-ore leaching, whole-ore leaching with carbon, and flotation. Separate tests will assess whether residual tailings could be suitable for the dry-stack storage contemplated in the PEA. Wallbridge engaged Synectiq Inc. to design and manage the program; Base Metallurgical Laboratories Ltd. is conducting the testwork under Synectiq’s direction. The company expected initial metallurgical results in the latter half of Q4 2026.

What the reported drill intercepts do—and do not—show
Wallbridge’s September release reported intercepts from metallurgical holes, including 8.27 g/t gold over 16.4 metres in FAL-26-002A, 25.41 g/t over 3.6 metres in FAL-26-003, and 10.67 g/t over 5.0 metres in FAL-26-005. The company said true widths were estimated at 70–90% of the reported core interval lengths. These are drill intercepts from holes primarily intended to collect representative metallurgical samples; they are not mineable grades, mineral reserves, or evidence that the project is economically viable.

The stages are not interchangeable: sample delivery precedes test results, while the broader PFS also depends on drilling, engineering, and trade-off work. Neither expected date is a reported result or a firm deadline.

Why the company proposed the Sunday Lake Gold name
In its August notice, Wallbridge said the rebrand was intended to highlight its focus on the Sunday Lake Deformation Zone. The company described a contiguous mineral-property position of 598 square kilometres extending approximately 82 kilometres along the Detour–Fenelon gold trend. It identified Fenelon as its flagship PEA-stage project, alongside the earlier-stage Martiniere project and greenfield targets. These are company descriptions of its portfolio and the rationale for the proposed name.

In May 2026, Wallbridge announced strategic investments by Agnico Eagle Mines Limited and Waratah Capital Advisors Limited, on behalf of investment funds. The announced terms were intended to give each investor approximately 19.9% partially diluted ownership and provide approximately C$56 million in total. Wallbridge said the proceeds, together with its existing resources, were expected to fully fund the Fenelon PFS. That is the company’s expectation, not an independent audit of study costs or assurance that the schedule will be met.
