Yes—you can get a Hawaii IP address with a VPN. The official location pages reviewed for this guide confirm Hawaii or Honolulu endpoints from NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and Private Internet Access (PIA). That supports three options, not a defensible ranking of five. ExpressVPN identifies its Honolulu endpoint as virtual; the reviewed pages do not establish whether NordVPN’s or PIA’s Hawaii endpoints are physically hosted on the islands.
Which VPNs list a Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint?
This comparison is limited to whether a provider’s official material identifies a Hawaii or Honolulu location. It does not rank connection speed, privacy effectiveness, or access to streaming services: no comparative tests for those outcomes are established here.

The providers’ pages describe their own locations and features; they are not independent tests. The reviewed Proton VPN, Surfshark, and CyberGhost location material did not establish a Hawaii or Honolulu endpoint. That absence does not prove those providers never offer one, so check a provider’s current app or location list before ruling it out.

How to get a Hawaii IP address
- Install and sign in to a VPN app. Use the provider’s current app for your device and account.
- Open the server or location list. The label varies by app. PIA specifically points users to the app’s VPN Server section for its latest available locations.
- Select Hawaii or Honolulu. NordVPN directs users to choose a city in Hawaii; ExpressVPN lists “USA – Honolulu”; PIA lists “US Honolulu.”
- Connect and check your IP location. If a site still shows your previous location, disconnect and reconnect to the Hawaii endpoint, then check the location again. A displayed Hawaii IP does not guarantee that every service will classify it as Hawaiian.
Does a Honolulu VPN server have to be in Hawaii?
No. A VPN’s advertised location can describe the IP address’s apparent location rather than where the server hardware sits. ExpressVPN labels its USA–Honolulu endpoint virtual. NordVPN and PIA list Hawaii or Honolulu locations, but the reviewed pages do not establish the physical hosting location of those specific endpoints. If physical presence on the islands matters to you, ask the provider directly rather than assuming the location name proves it.

What a Hawaii IP can—and cannot—do
A Hawaii endpoint can make your VPN connection appear to originate from a Hawaii-associated IP address. It does not guarantee that a bank, website, or streaming platform will accept the connection, show local content, offer local prices, or skip a fraud check. Those services make their own decisions, and the cited provider pages do not establish results for any third-party service.
Why this guide covers three options, not five
The title’s five-provider count cannot be supported by the official location evidence reviewed for this guide: it confirms Hawaii or Honolulu listings for three providers. A longer list would require evidence for two additional endpoints, and a “best” ranking would also require a defensible comparison method.
