vivo’s Y6 is a China-market 5G phone with a 7,200 mAh typical-capacity battery, a second-generation Snapdragon 4 processor, and a 6.75-inch 120 Hz LCD. vivo lists it under the product name Y6; “Y6 5G” is a descriptive name used in launch coverage. The China model number is V2531A.
What are the main features of the vivo Y6?
The Y6 pairs a high-capacity battery with a large, high-refresh-rate display and mid-range specifications. The figures below are from vivo’s China product specification page unless otherwise noted.
- Processor: second-generation Snapdragon 4, identified as Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 in launch coverage.
- Memory and storage: China configurations include 8 GB RAM with 128 GB or 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage.
- Display: 6.75-inch LCD, 1,570 × 720 resolution, with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
- Cameras: 50 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera.
- Charging: 44 W flash charging. vivo also lists compatibility with 33 W and 22.5 W input profiles and says actual charging power varies by scenario.
vivo’s overview reports 15.5 hours of navigation, 39.1 hours of calls, and 23.5 hours of video playback. These are manufacturer test figures, not independent results; vivo says battery life varies with test conditions and use.
How large is the battery, and how long is it designed to last?
vivo lists the battery at 7,200 mAh typical capacity and 7,060 mAh rated capacity, at 3.92 V. The typical and rated figures describe different capacity ratings; they are not separate batteries.

The company also reports a laboratory result of 1,600 charge cycles with at least 80% capacity remaining, based on its stated testing and usage assumptions. This is a vivo-reported result, not an independent test or a guarantee of how long an individual phone’s battery will retain capacity.

Will the China model work on your local 5G network?
Not necessarily. vivo’s specification page for model V2531A lists supported bands, but a 5G label alone does not establish compatibility with a particular carrier. Network access can depend on the carrier’s bands and infrastructure as well as the phone’s software version. Compare the exact bands listed for V2531A with your carrier’s requirements before buying.
