The China-market vivo Y500 Pro and India-market vivo T5 Pro 5G are not direct same-market price rivals: vivo lists the Y500 Pro’s launch prices in yuan and the T5 Pro 5G in India at a rupee store price. On paper, the T5 Pro 5G has the larger battery and faster maximum refresh rate; the Y500 Pro is smaller and lighter and advertises a 200MP main camera. Those specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos, or performs faster in everyday use.
At a glance: two phones for different markets
This comparison uses the China-market vivo Y500 Pro and the India-market vivo T5 Pro 5G. Model names can refer to different regional products, so these specifications should not be assumed to describe every phone sold as “T5 Pro.” The Y500 Pro launched in China in November 2025 with OriginOS 6 noted in vivo’s launch announcement. vivo India lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6.0 for the T5 Pro 5G.

Which has the better display?
Both phones list an AMOLED panel with a 2800 × 1260 resolution. The T5 Pro 5G’s screen is larger at 6.83 inches and its stated maximum refresh rate is 144Hz, compared with 6.67 inches and up to 120Hz on the Y500 Pro. That gives the T5 Pro 5G the higher listed refresh-rate ceiling and more screen area; it does not by itself prove superior brightness, color calibration, or smoothness in every app.

Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 9020mAh battery for the India-market T5 Pro 5G. The China-market Y500 Pro is specified at 7000mAh typical capacity and 6870mAh rated capacity. Both list 90W charging. The T5 Pro 5G therefore has the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer: actual endurance depends on usage and other conditions, and the available specifications are not a controlled battery test.
Cameras: 200MP versus 50MP
The Y500 Pro’s main camera is listed at 200MP with optical image stabilization (OIS); its secondary rear camera is 2MP bokeh. The T5 Pro 5G specifies a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera. Both list a 32MP front camera. A megapixel count does not establish photo quality, and these specifications are not a controlled side-by-side camera comparison.

Performance: what the chipset specs do—and do not—tell you
The Y500 Pro uses a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400, while the T5 Pro 5G uses a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. These are different platforms, but their names and manufacturing-node figures alone do not establish which phone is faster in apps, games, or sustained workloads. No comparable performance test is established here, so a winner cannot be responsibly named on chipset specifications alone.

Size, weight, and durability
At 198.6g and 7.81mm thick, the Y500 Pro is listed as lighter and thinner than the T5 Pro 5G, at 213g and 8.25mm. The T5 Pro 5G is also taller and wider. These measurements establish a paper difference in dimensions, not how comfortable either phone will feel in a particular hand.

Both manufacturers’ product materials advertise IP68/IP69 protection. vivo India cautions that water resistance can diminish with daily use and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. An IP rating is a laboratory protection rating, not a reason to deliberately expose either phone to water.
Price difference: why the listed figures are not a direct comparison
vivo China’s Y500 Pro page lists launch prices for four configurations. The vivo India Store listing showed a price for one T5 Pro 5G configuration when accessed in 2026. Because the prices are in different currencies and apply to different markets, they should not be subtracted or treated as a like-for-like value ranking.

The Y500 Pro figures are from vivo China’s product page; the T5 Pro 5G figures are from the vivo India Store listing. An India buyer should treat the Y500 Pro amount as a China launch price, not as an Indian retail offer. Check local availability, taxes, warranty, and the exact configuration before comparing what each phone would cost to buy.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the T5 Pro 5G if you are shopping in India and prioritize its larger stated battery capacity, larger display, or higher listed maximum refresh rate.
- Consider the Y500 Pro if you are buying in China and prefer its smaller, lighter listed body, or want its advertised 200MP OIS main camera and 12GB/512GB configuration.
- Do not choose from these figures alone if your deciding factor is real-world battery endurance, camera results, or speed; the listed specifications do not establish those outcomes.
Before buying either model, verify the exact regional variant, storage configuration, current stock and price, warranty coverage, and network-band compatibility. For a phone imported across markets, also confirm locally relevant features such as NFC and what is included in the box rather than assuming they match another region’s listing.
