The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion has the stronger spec sheet for display resolution and refresh rate, processor class, battery capacity and rear-camera versatility. The vivo Y400 5G supports faster peak wired charging, and its 8GB+128GB listing surfaced at a lower price. The prices are not confirmed like-for-like checkout offers, so compare the exact storage variant and final price before buying.
How the vivo Y400 and Edge 70 Fusion compare
These are manufacturer-listed specifications for India; they are not independent performance, camera, battery-life or durability test results. Motorola says specifications may vary by market, and vivo notes that some details can vary by production batch.

vivo says the Y400’s 120Hz refresh rate is not available in every scenario. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can make supported content look smoother, but the specification alone does not establish how often a phone runs at that rate.

Display
The Edge 70 Fusion lists the larger, higher-resolution panel and a refresh-rate ceiling of 144Hz, compared with the Y400’s 6.67-inch 2400 × 1080 display with up to 120Hz. Those figures favor Motorola on paper for screen size, pixel count and maximum refresh rate. They do not, by themselves, establish brightness, color accuracy or real-world viewing quality.

Battery, charging and cameras

Software, protection and what comes in the box
Software and updates
vivo lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 for the Y400; Motorola lists Android 16 for the Edge 70 Fusion. No separately verified update-support duration or commitment is established here, so the initial software version should not be treated as a promise about future updates.
Water and dust protection
vivo says the Y400 is rated IP68 and IP69 under IEC 60529. Its stated underwater-photography conditions are fresh water, up to two metres deep and up to 30 minutes per use. vivo also says to dry the USB port before charging and that liquid-immersion damage is not covered by warranty. Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H for the Edge 70 Fusion, while noting that specifications may vary by market. These ratings and claims are not guarantees that either phone will avoid damage in every exposure.

The same listing showed an MRP of ₹60,999 alongside a promotion; that MRP should not be read as the phone’s ordinary street price. Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Edge 70 Fusion if the listed higher-class processor, sharper and faster-refreshing display, larger battery, OIS-equipped main camera and ultrawide camera matter most to you. It is also listed at a lower weight.
- Consider the vivo Y400 if its higher peak wired charging rating, included case and protective film, or the retrieved 8GB+128GB listing price better fit your priorities. Confirm the live price and promotion at checkout.
- Compare software support before buying if update longevity is decisive; the listed Android versions do not establish how long either phone will receive updates.
